GG: I believe the comic you are referring to is the Uncanny X-Men annual #14.  That comic featured a cameo of Gambit, but his first OFFICIAL APPEARANCE is Uncanny X-Men #266.

Uncanny X-Men #266 is roughly about $35 in Near Mint condition.  The worse the grade, the cheaper the book.  Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 is roughly about $12 in NM condition.  same rules apply.

There are copies of the book that have been CGC graded that are much more expensive.  CGC is a 3rd party grading company that will grade your book on a 10.0 scale with gloves, magnifying glasses, etc.  There has only been 3 copies of the book CGC graded in a 9.9 or higher grade.  I have seen that book in that kind of grade sell for $1500.  The book in a 9.8 grade will typically go for around $200+.  I have two of these.

Here's the census showing what CGC has graded of Uncanny X-Men #266.

I hope this helps.

I managed to get an x-men #266 off e-bay for £13 in pretty near mint condition. I found it by looking through mis-spelled auctions.

It's an ok comic, but I glad that they changed Gambit after that issue, I had to have it though as it's a milestone.

mis-spelled auctions? Dude, I never thought of that. I wonder how many typos prevent the sale of a perfectly legil item because it doesn't come up in the searches...

I suppose it will do, although I fear that I will have to send the evil henchmen uniforms back.

How do you feel about orange? All evil henchmen/women must wear orange, it's kind of a rule.

No, please, anything but orange.

Anyway, to get this thread back on topic.

At some point I am going to look for Uncanny #266, since any Gambit collection I have won't feel complete without it.

Ok so maybe fuschia?

As for #266, I do know of a comic shop that had one in stock as recently as last week for £11, not sure of the condition though. I could dig out the address if you want.
