I think for me its that whole longer/failed samurai thing that gets me about him. Hes a good guy, who has spent much of his life trying to redeem himself for a one percieved wrong or another, when actually, he absolved himself ages ago. He's never gonna be happy or find peace because he's searching for it so hard when actually, if he just stopped searching, he'd be there. He's got his own set of morals, he's feircely loyal, entirely independant and totally vulnerable if you get under the surface.

I'm a such a sucker for a tragedy. And he has a nice chest.

Yeah in one issue somewhere it did state that he had suceeded in becoming a full Samuri but would not allow himself the honour as he refuses to believe that he himself deserves any honour! I think itsalso ultimately why he fails in his relationships too as he just see's himself as a feral dog not worth spitting on and all his accomplishments in battle just, in his mind, confirm that he is indeed a beast too dangerous to be around.

But of course, as you said, we ladies are suckers for a sad story and self-pity in heroic and handsome (and in his case hairy) men! But there's nothing wrong with that!   Mr. Green  Mr. Green  Mr. Green

I think the failed samurai thing first came to like during the whole thing with Mariko... although if you're reading the origins stuff he apparently almost became on years and years before that, before he got weapon X'd for the first time. He was in a little village in the middle of nowhere married to a woman called Itsu. That issue kinda might have made me cry just a little.

Sorry it took so long for me to look at this.

Fantastic picture Crimsy, really nice and really subtle. You are a very skilled artist.

And Wolvie is so good for the whole tragic, never going to be good enough for himself thing.

I always thought it ironic how similar the two are and how differently they get treated.

Wolvie kills loads of people and has a shady past? The Xmen forgive him
Remy gets linked to [but did not take part it] the morelock massacre and has an equally shady past? The Xmen can't seem to forgive him. At all.

I could go on.
