If you listen to the 'director/writers' commentary on the X3 DVD, in the scene where Mags is breaking Cain and Jamie free, you'll hear them discuss why Gambit wasn't in X3. |

Look, all I care about is Remy did not get 'cured' and torn apart by the Phoenix in X3. And you KNOW if he was in there that would probably have happened.

Nah... he'd have been one of Mag's drooling ass-kissing stooges and then got wiped out in the first wave or chopped up by Logan in the four-minute battle with lots of shirt ripping where Logan is clearly the better fighter and far more inteligent.

Alright missy, let's think on this. This is Marvel. When is the last time Remy got handed a worthwhile fight scene? Lately he just gets kicked once in the face by Mystique and runs away crying or grabbed viciously by the indominable Pulse (which, has anyone seen Pulse since he fulfilled his 'mission' of breaking up Remy and Rogue...Oh, no one's seen him, guess he went to go chill out with Vargas and the rest of the once used plot devices down in the lunch hall...Now we return to out regularly scheduled programming)? In House of M, Remy showed up for 1/3 of a panel, where he got thoroughly trashed by Ms. Marvel because he was nothing but a hack bankrobber with poor taste in accomplices. In Civil War he......wait, he didn't so much appear anywhere in Civil War as that other thing...that thing where he does something closely akin to not appearing at all. Then there was the time he ran away with Shiro and they met up with Sinister and...well we don't really know because they never bothered with those miniscule details that typically follow the word 'and'. In that Zombies series Remy showed up just long enough to get the top of his head blown off (two panels as I recall), and in the new Ultimate Aliance game he gets summarily murdered by the much over-done Dr. Doom (We really need to talk about some of these names...why not just call someone Mr. Badguy or Captain Villian..."Hi, my name is Johnson Vander Meer, but my friends call me Doctor DoBadThingsToGoodPeopleSoThatHeroesHaveSomeoneToFight. I picked that name because it makes it easier for the hero to know who to punch in the face.")
That being said Remy was more likely to end up the first test dummy for the 'cure' in X3 than to share anything that could be likened to screen time with Logan (A.K.A. Mister Claws).

You have such a good point Av, and it just isn't fair *pout*.
They've really screwed him over recently, and it doesn't look like it is stopping anytime soon.
My vote would be taken apart by Phoenix for what they would have done to him. Probably after she cured him (in the scene where she almost cures Mags).
Oh, and on a side note, did anybody else fall around laughing when they saw the alternate scene with Mags all beardy?

Oh, you mean the scene where Gandalf the Grey visited the set of X3. Yeah, I had a nice laugh over that one. "Wolverine, YOU SHALL NOT PASS....uhhh, wait, you're not trying to pass are you.....it's so much easier with Balrogs..."

Oh, I could see it now. It would be just like this one  , except at the end of the laugh it would roll over on it's side and its eyes would turn to X's....or, maybe...it would laugh, start to shake violently and then explode.

Pulse probably WAS Vargas in disquise! Wha? You think theres room for more than one loser never-has-been in the M-Universe? Oh no...that might make it too confusing for the writers to keep track of!

Someone clarify on the Vargas thing? All it served to do was confuse the living fuck outta me. Who was he? I kinda know what he did but I don't get the who-and-why stuff.
