Don't read this as a nag. See it as an opportunity.
Please remember people, this isn't just a forum. The guild site is a great resource in terms of images, appearences and history and we're in need of contributions and the like if we're going to attract new blood. If you have a quote that we don't have in the quotes section, there is a suggestion box.
gambitguilduk@yahoo.com is the guild email address. If you have an image you think we should put up, submit it. We are now taking fan art on the site, so sumbissions of that would be great too.
If you know anyone that might like the guild, point them to us:

Also, if you're on another forum, put a guild banner of some form in your sig. Stef has some posted further down this thread. Print out a poster and take it into your local comic book store/stores. If you're on myspace, tell people. If you're on livejournal like me [not that I do much with mine!] find the communities and post one of Stefs banners. I will be once I've finished typing this.
Even if the board yu're on has little or nothing to do with Comics, let alone Gambit, you could be surprised. Skylar will know what I mean.
In other words people, get us out there! If the other Guild goes down, this one will still be here, but the only way its going to be worth keeping it around is if people stop by. Currently, we're more up-to-date than a most places, and with your contributions we can keep it this way.

Ok, as Kaz said I have put together some banners for your sigs and some posters.
Banners
Copy and paste the code below the banner that you want into your sig to get that link to show.
Bear in mind that the code below places a space between the b and the rest of the word banner (b anner). This will need to be removed so that you can use this code.

Sweet. This is all good. We've got a poster printed out and ready to go into my local comic book store, and if people want to do the same that would be great. We're linked in Wiki now, which seems to be helping too.
Crimsy, you know how myspace works, something I'm sadly lacking in. Would you be able to hit up other interested parties and advertise a little that way? Fanfiction communites are also good, since we do have fiction and fanart forums and a lot of information ready to hand for writers/artists.
Sumbissions for the site gallery would also be good.

After a little bit of calculating, I have figured out the main sites we should "strike" so to speak to get members. Someone needs to advertise at the other Gambit Guild, Superhero Hype, and all those big comical forums where fans talk about Gambit and all.
To make things even eaiser, we outta make a group on myspace and call it Gambit Guild, if it's not already taken. |

The myspace group sounds good, if someone could do that it would be very cool. Not knowing a thing about myspace I'm gonna have to trust some of the 'spacers to do that.
If you can link me to the forums that need hitting, I'll hit em, and see if I can't get a few others to do the same.

Oooh I like the battleforce strike approach to this! Haha...and Turbo thats a GREAT idea about myspace! I am already a member though plus crap with the necessary graphics needed to make it look great ! Could you do it T? Or talk Kaz through setting one up as she's not already a member?

The other two ideas I had was for Stryker, T LeBeau, and Crims to sign up on Deviantart and upload their works and advertise the guild in the message they type with the image.
Then fanfiction.net, I know Stef has submitted some stories there, she could advertise the guild in her fic whenever she posts again and Ave would make an excellent addition to fanfiction.net with his fics as well. I'm trying to think of other stuff, but this is all I got for now, gals. |
