Well, I need to go give X1 another good watching. It just seemed when Sabertooth attacked Logan and Rogue there wasn't much in the way of "Hey, look! It's Wolverine! How nice to hit you with a tree again! I mean it's been, what, 6-7 years? How you been, bro? Oops, gotta go, nerdy guy with laser eyes is shooting at me." Sure, there could have been some of that 'suppressed/erased memory' thing going on, but it's not as if they called each other by name.
Ok, when X3 came out, I tried hard to defend it...then I watched it a second time, and that was the end of that. However, I still say Hank was one of the few highlights in that movie. He actually had a serviceable part. And after reading/becoming a fan of X-Factor, I really want to pour a few hundred gallons of endless pain and suffering on the soul of whoever decided to put Multiple Man in there. Never really cared for Angel or Callisto, but their parts both sucked....care slightly more about Psylock and her part was terrible. And, since I'm on the subject I feel the need to once again mention the most grievous sin of all: Even remotely insinuating that Kitty would ever stoop to the subbasement of mutanity that is Iceman...Did you know there was a deleted scene where Kitty and Bobby kissed? Do you have any idea how mad that made me? Wow I am just too shocked for words!!!! I think I may dig out X1 to re-watch again later if I get time too.....and I think I need to watch X3 again, you know, see how I feel about it after all this time! _________________ *

And the Kitty as a relationship breaker, I mean WTF! She may not be one of my favourite characters but even so. I personally blame the Ultimate storyline Cry Wolf, since Kitty and Bobby (who is going out with Rogue at the time) snog in that.
I guess there is a tiny ray of hope. They never actually mentioned Psylocke by name, and there were none of her normal powers present, so she still might be able to be in one of the other movies.

I hate like the devil to point this out, seeing as how it dashes that last tiny ray of hope...and I do so hate dashing your hope rays....I'd much rather be a ray of hope non-dasher in your case, but....Psylocke was listed in the credits, as played by one Meiling Melancon. And, if I'm not mistaken, for a while one of her powers was the ability to teleport between shadows, which I'm guessing they played on with her getting her fellow goons inside the facility.

Say what? I've yet to read a single issue of Ultimate X-Men, but I think you've just cemented that as an ongoing trend. That sucks. Any prior appearances where in fact Xorn pretending to be Kitty pretending to be Magneto pretending to be Kitty while hyped up on some ilk of drug. As for Psylocke...I would guess the majority of movie-goers have forgotten that fact already (except for us who are 'hardcore X-fans' lol) and so its highly unlikely that by the time a new film is made the writers, editors, producers etc wouldn't conveniently forget her X3 apperance if it suits their needs too!

They could easily forget that she was ever in X-3. The fact that she wasn't named on screen is a big help for that, I mean really how many people actually watch the credits (or if they do watch them then how many people pay attention)?
Ultimate X-Men isn't that bad, but yes Kitty (Xorn-Kitty-Magneto-Kitty) does get into it with Bobby, despite the fact that he is in a relationship. Saying that, he doesn't exactly fight back.

True enough. It's not as if her appearance was all that memorable....Perhaps they could just retcon the whole movie as being a particularly bad, and poorly plotted, fever dream of Magneto's.

I really liked Beast in it...the problem is that its the only thing I liked, its like they decided to throw out all prior characterization and do whatever the hell they wanted, screwing over dozens of mutants in the process.
As for the whole Kitty/Bobby/Rogue thing, I think probably the dumbest thing about it is that Bobby is cheating on Rogue with Kitty, and what does she do? Give up her powers, everything she is, just so he will stop cheating on her. Seriously, why throw everything away for a guy who cant even be faithful to you?
And yeah. No gambit. Thats the universal thing i've heard from everyone: No Gambit. _________________ I always thought that Rogue and Gambit should adopt that Leech kid from X3.

But seriously, bad characterization aside and the sucky way they handled the best possible Rogue-storyline: You can't see why she would give up her powers? You can't see how a guy who likes a girl he can't touch, even to comfort or kiss, might get frustrated and momentarily kiss another girl? Its not like they were betothed or anything. Heck even teenagers without superpowers screw up like that!
And how many girls has Gambit kissed despite giving his heart to Rogue. Of course its different with him as he is such a flirt its not taken seriously. _________________ *
