Apparently in Wizard magazine they posted the 10 major reasons to read X-men 200. Some we know, the others are very disturbing.
Here we go:
1.
DEATH IN THE FAMILY. A member of Rogues team falls in the line of duty!
CAREY: "A call to arms, but arguably too late."
(AW SHIT!)
2.
RETURN OF HEROES? Two prodigal X-Men burst back onto the scene - but whose side are they on?
CAREY: "Ever since I took over, I've been getting questions on one of these two characters. There will be some cries of joy when they come galloping over the horizon."
(Gambit and Sunfire, obviously, as if the horse analogy was not enough)
3.
BETRAYAL FROM WITHIN. The X-men face the deadliest threat of all: one of their own!
CAREY: "There's something nasty going on thats not obvious at all and will carry on not being obvious even after the big reveal."
(AW SHIT SHIT!)
4.
POWER OUTAGE. One of the X-men will lose their mutant abilities when they need them most!
CAREY: "Such a tragic beat, because of how it's done and who is responsible."
(GODDAMMIT!)
5.
THE MARAUDERS RETURN. Among the X-men's deadliest foes, these villains already caused one "Mutant Massacre" - and the timing of their comeback couldn't be worse.
CAREY: "Who's in? Who's out? Dont wait for someone else to buy the issue and tell you!"
(Well....saw this coming)
6.
TAKE THE CRAZY TRAIN. By issue's end, an X-man's mind may be too far gone to salvage.
CAREY: "The darkest aspect of the issue - and my run so far."
(I....I am at a loss for curse words)
7.
MALICE AFORETHOUGHT! The body posessing Marauder claims another X-man!
CAREY: "It's a slightly different Malice with a new method of breaking and entering."
(AW COME ON!)
8.
X-RATED ENCOUNTER. Two members of the team get closer than ever in a decidedly adult fashion!
CAREY: "Wait until you see how this plays out."
(Bobby and Mystiqe gonna bump it?)
9.
THIS BUDS FOR YOU! An X-man - who's NOT named Wolverine - cracks open a cold one!
CAREY: "I'm allowed to do this right?"
(>> This has got me pretty exited)
10.
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. The Marauders get a familiar face as their new leader.
CAREY: "The most jaw dropping moment in the whole issue."
(Gambit? Sunfire? Someone else?)
So, our current team is Rogue, Iceman, Cannonball, Mystique, Cable, Mastermind, Karima, and Sabertooth
So, if one goes insane, one betrays them, one dies, one loses their powers, and one is posessed by Malice, only three can come out unscathed >< _________________ I always thought that Rogue and Gambit should adopt that Leech kid from X3.
"Alright son, you can sleep on dis here futon next to our bed! put on deese earmuffs, an' dis blindfold, and if you hear screamin' ignore it!"
Oooh wowsers! O wonder if Mastermind will be 'the insane one' as she is known for? Karima sounds like the most likely to die as she's not one of the 'big' known X-Men. Sabretooth...the betrayer? You know he is just waiting for the chance! And he was a Maurader before! Power loss? Hmmm...Rogue would just be too obvious (so done a million times) so perhaps Cannonball or Mystique...M would be interesting considering how that would make her vulnerable and more likely to seek solace with Bobby. Posession? Hmmm??? Don't know about that one!
lol...well thats my bets! Can't wait to find out! Yeeeahhh! Its like Christmas again! hahaha _________________ *

I am totally not betting on Sabertooth as the traitor considering hes the most likely to betray them. They spend every moment counting on it >> _________________ I always thought that Rogue and Gambit should adopt that Leech kid from X3.

1: I think it'll either be Karima or Sabertooth. Karima is the perfect canon fodder since she has no real fanbase and Creed may end up dying since he and Logan are having yet another "final battle" over in Logan's book.
2: Gambit and Sunfire. Duh.
3: Lady M or Mystique I think.
4: I'm thinking it'll be Bobby, perhaps being depowered by Mystique as part of her betrayal.
5: We already know that all of the classic Marauders will be there minus one(Sabertooth I think), plus hints of Gambit and Sunfire.
6: Cable's supposed to have some kind of confrontation with Sinister, this might be a result of that. Other canidates: Mystique, rogue, and Cannonball.
7: lady M by the looks of some of the preview covers.
4: I'm thinking it'll be Bobby, perhaps being depowered by Mystique as part of her betrayal.
Hmmm...not sure about that as he just isn't that much of a character that people care enough about if dis-impowered..... _________________ *

1.Karima. She'll problably die an honest warrior's death.
2. Take a wild guess.
3.Cable. I would never expect him to do anything like this. He has had an entire run unscathed, and it would be an interesting betrayal. Runner up is Cannonball, a good guy, but not a big enough player to be considered invulnerable.
4.Mystique. By Rogue, it would be a terrible blow to Mystique as a mother, to be utterly sapped by Rogue. And it would cause it all to come crashing down upon Bobby who actually might feel something for her.
5.Yeah...all the old ones plus Remy and Sunfire and minus Sabertooth.
6.Rogue. The poor poor girl, I just know this will fall on her.
7. Lady M. Shes a valuable asset to the team, her powers turned directly against them would easily cause chaos.
8.Well Duh, Bobby and Mystique. Somehow I doubt Rogue and Gambit will have patched things up, and there are few potential couples. Lets face is, Karima is cold and mechanical, and Lady M is incapable of loving anyone but herself.
9. I must object to the idea of Beast, hes smart enough to know its bad to ingest alcohol. Cable has little need, Rogue has little want, Lady M is a maybe, Mystique I doubt, Bobby I also doubt, hes a punk, Sabertooth is too easy, Karima is a robot, Cannonball is possible.
10.Gambit problably.
Those are my final bets. _________________ I always thought that Rogue and Gambit should adopt that Leech kid from X3.

It is either going to be a bloodbath of the highest and most intersting order, or they are going to screw it up. Again.
Luckily its Carey, so it shouldn't be screwed too much.
As I said, I'll front page this as soon as possible, but I'm not going to have a chance until we get back from Canada on the 15th. _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.
8.
X-RATED ENCOUNTER. Two members of the team get closer than ever in a decidedly adult fashion!
CAREY: "Wait until you see how this plays out."

Has long it aint Rogue and somebody othe4r than Gambit. _________________ RIP Heath
Yeah, according to Carey he honestly has no idea how to work the guy into any story, hes just not a good character. _________________ I always thought that Rogue and Gambit should adopt that Leech kid from X3.

He never came right out and said it; but I got the feeling that Carey didn't like Pulse in the slightest. I don't blame him, considering he was used in a way that made Rogue look really flaky and shallow.
Although I'm not sure if I'm happy with him simply not being mentioned again. I can't decide if I want him to just be ignored like most of Milligan's run(except Gambit's character assassination apparently) or for him to die gruesomely.
Oooh DIE GRUESOMELY!!! That would be extremely fitting! Its a shame he didn't sacrifice himself during the BoA story...or even better got killed by Sunfire or Gambit when they came back for Lorna!!! _________________ *

Seriously, hes playing off a thief for another thief. Makes no sense. I am seriously anti-milligan at this point, but I blame marvel for putting someone who is well known for their surreal and bizzare storylines at the head of a series that basically runs on continuity and characterization.
Also, he had his two pet characters Gazer and Pulse, neither of which were interesting. Although I must say I was a bit sympathetic towards Gazer towards the end. What with the whole torture thing...
I dont know, comic writers tend to have them for their runs, just these little characters that tend to really only gain prominence when their creator writes them. Like Xorn 2 from Austen's run (he got de-powered), Darwin from Beaubaker's current, and 'Armor' from Whedon. What I like about Carey is that he hasnt made that habit, hes refining a lot of pre-existing characters, and giving them all equal frame time. _________________ I always thought that Rogue and Gambit should adopt that Leech kid from X3.

I agree with you that Carey is doing a great job about using preexisting characters and making them important to the storylines. Like Sentinel, she appeared in only a few issues of Uncanny towards the end of Claremont's run before going into comic limbo. Lady M is a great character and Carey has made her one of the best characters in the book. He seems to really understand what makes each character work so well.
For the record though, Xorn was created by Grant Morrison. Austen used him for his stories because he thought he was a great concept of a character, but I guess he didn't read any of Morrison's run because then he wouldn't have destroyed the character like he did.
I have a feeling that Armor will be a major character in the X-Universe even after Whedon leaves the book. A lot of die hard X-fans seem to really like the character. _________________

Really? I haven't felt much towards her although I can see she has potential appeal as despite her Armour she comes across quite vulnerable.
You know...it would be great for a new character to gain in popularity enough to become part of the mix! Its like Gambit...he was written in as a semi-temp character who was supposed to end up as a villian but then stuck around, developed a lasting attachment to Rogue and became a leading X-Man figure! _________________ *
