Well, it's finally happened. Mike Carey had brought Gambit back, for better or for worse, and I for one think it's time we show our appreciation.

So get out those pens, boot up your computers and get your chocolate seeking radar out. Letters, emails and chocolates are all a good way to tell Mike Carey that we appreciate what he's done in bringing Gambit back.

Having not read #200 yet, I don't know how well he's done with the Cajun, but I think we should show our appreciation no matter what, since anything has to be better than the way we last saw him.

This was what Carey said months ago about chocolates, courtesy of Lord Evan, so we at least know his favourite types.

Quote:
On the chocolate front, I’m going to decline with thanks. I wouldn’t want you to do that and then feel that I’d let you down or misled you or failed to deliver on anything you felt was forthcoming. I tell you what, though - put them by, and if you still feel when I leave the book that I’m deserving of chocolates, then I’ll send you my address. And milk, is the answer - with lots of nut and toffee centres…

Also, don't just thank him for Gambit. If you think he deserves praise for the other things he's doing with the X-Men, for the Endangered Species one-shot, for anything he's done recently send that as well. Or if there has been something that you didn't quite like, tell him. Writers thrive on feedback.

I'll update this with addresses as soon as I've found them, although if anyone can get them or has them already that would be a great help.

Thats a good idea Stef. I'm a big fan of giving praise when due not just critism!

However, I will need to wait until I read it before sending a letter (or email)....just gives a point of reference.

I'm going to wait as well, but I figured that I should get the idea out there.

Do you have Careys email to post? Or do you think a letter at the usual Marvel address will be better?
