So, Victor Creed is dead.

Wolverine chopped his head off with the Muramasa blade at the end of Wolverine #55, but not before they butchered his character.

First of all they wrote him as a stupid, mindless psychopath. Back in the day, when characterisation used to be done well and consistantly he was a psychopath sure, but a bloody intelligent one. That was part of what made him so damn dangerous.

Then they stripped away all of his humanity and made him completely feral. Now I have no problem with that, it could have made for interesting reading.

Then Logan essentially tortured Creed by chopping his arm off with a blade that meant that he wouldn't heal. Sure, they've damaged each other plently more before, but then Logan gloated and you've got to bear in mind that Creed was essentially a retarded kitty cat at this point.

Then Creed managed to prove that he was a better man when Logan offered him a chance to "stop me from killing you" by telling Logan to do it, despite being feral. He even cried.

Logan also proved that he was not the better man by not even burying Creed, just leaving him for the wolves. So much for that honor thing there Logan.

Yeah, I'm a little on the pissed off side right now. I'm sure you all can tell that. He may have been a villain, but he was a good villain and could have been used so much better.

So thank you once again for shitting over the characters that I like and R.I.P Victor Creed, may your psychopathic little heart be reunited with Birdy and Mary.

(PS This fucked with continuity as well, since the fight started while Creed was still with Rogue's team and the last time we saw Creed in X-Men was just before the whole throwdown with the Marauders and Rogue being crazy. Grrr.)

They can't. The sword nixed his healing factor.

According to C+D, after Creed left Rogues team, he fought Deadpool and was launched into the ocean.

Plus its a friggin lame death for one of the most incredibly sadistic and powerful villains in X-men history.

Yeah, it really kinda was a lame death.

Gotta love it when they fuck continuity. And there I was thinking that they were trying their hardest to get everything straightened out. Grr.

Wha? I think I have woken up in a new strange world where everything seems the same but isn't? Whats this I hear about Sabby being dead? Whawhawhaaaaa *sob* and by Logans hand? Well........I guess if anyone was gonna do it? But yeah, I thought Logan would show some remorse for his biggest enemy, or longest known one.

Oh well.....dead is NEVER dead in comics!

I really hope so. His character has been so abused recently that I can only hope, like Remy, he gets someone who knows how to write him when and if the time comes.

If Cable can return then so can Creed!....Erm....except Cable didn't get his head lopped off!

BUT.....in HULK Wolvie was ripped in half and survived so who knows? Creed may not be out for the count either! Esp if Wolvie didn't stick around to bury the body!

Except he used a blade that neutralised Creed's healing factor. *sigh* We can only hope that, as with the first time Wolvie was cut with the blade, Creed's healing factor kicks back in and he heals.

It's ironic actually, but the same week as Wolvie beheaded Creed he also beheaded Deadpool. I have to say that this is becoming a bit of a thing for the runt.

Deadpool will be back, since a little thing like losing his head has never stopped him yet.
