It has been anounced that Simone Bianchi (the artist for Wolverine) will be the new artist after Joss Whedon and John Cassaday are finished.
Here's a bit of the interview which features Gambit being mentioned.
Which characters are you most excited to draw?
BIANCHI: Emma. She’s a woman, she’s hot, she’s beautiful. I also love Cyclops a lot. It’s really enjoyable to draw the character. And of course, Logan. I work on Wolverine, so I feel really comfortable when I draw him. And the Beast, too. I think the Beast will look most different than what Cassaday did. There are so many others from the past that I’d love to draw, too. Psylocke, Gambit, Storm…
