This is what's coming up in X-Men #203 and #204, before Messiah CompleX kicks off. Anybody got any news on whether Gambit is going to be in them?

Ok...I read 201 and 202!

I must say I am not getting the best vibes from Remy's (one panel) appearance! He is very lacking in any spark or oomf....very robotic in behaviour if you ask me. I am seriously wondering where Marvel are gonna take him! He is (I hope) definietely suffering a type of mind-blank in regards to his real self.

Having said that...I am intrigued about Sinnys role in this? Obviously he is a villian but there are hints that ultimately he wants the same thing as the X-Men...to save mutants from extinction...only he is prepared to do what the X-MEn won't/can't?

Well it's difficult to be anything more than lacking personality when you've got a one panel appearance.

But it is like he's on auto-pilot, acting like he would but without any soul behind it. I wonder if that's part of the legacy from Death, or if it's because we haven't seen enough of him yet.

When's he meeting with Rogue properly? That should be more revealing! I can't help wonder if Sinny is keeping Remy's mind on auto-pilot? He did well and was good when he and Shiro confronted Cable but even then Cable thought him not himself. And fighting is perhaps the easiest thing to fall back on when not oneself?

I would say that fighting is instinct, especially for Remy, and it could well be that Sinny is relying on that to keep him under his control. Making him work on instincts and keeping the rest of his personality submerged. It would explain the concern for Rogue and the accent.

www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.1486.The_X-Men_Must_Sacrifice_Two_Of_Their_Own

the same preview pages, but now with an article on marvel.com. they make remy out to be the leader of the maurarders and if they've decided to include him by name over the rest of them, it makes me think that he'll be more heavily involved in the story this issue.

He may fight the majority of the X, but i think he'll be the one to do the damage to Iceman and Cannonball. they're the three hyped charecters according to this artice so it seems most likely to me, with mystique also being possible due to the....er........ liason with bobby. either way i believe G will be important in this issue in a big way. call it a hunch.

Thanks Ace. Very interesting news article, especially since it says that Gambit is the leader Marauders and not Mystique, like we've seen so far.

This has been frontpaged.

"LIASON"  Yeah...anyways I do agree with you Ace. I think she will have more importance to the story line the further and further it goes. Because of her past and her character she is VERY "FLEXABLE" with her position on the sides. (Good or Evil)

Of course he is a key factor in these comic (or just for this arc). Hell they are even going to produce a new cover with him on it. Anysway I think they are realizing he does have a big and growing fan base and they are going to do more comics focusing on him. Possibly another series (mini series that is).

Leader of the Mauraders? That is intriguing of Marvel to state although I wonder if thats more for hype purposes? Although he has always been one of Sinisters more favoured guy's, regardless of being good or bad. Plus I guess he and Shiro were 'the first' in this new plot of his....

I thought Sabretooth sorta was, back in the ol' days? But I guess teams, good or bad, constantly change to suit the times!
