Mystique is prob more in charge though cos she is in full control of her mind whereas Remy may not be?

Or maybe she was incharge of the group that hit the X-Men, while Remy is in overall command?

Haha, or she has been in command for so long that she finds it hard to take a back seat? Very Happy

I can just see. And then when she finds out...

*pulls gun on Sinister* You made that heartbreaking cajun rat leader over me? Take it back or I'll fill your head with lead.

I figure Mystique is more of a Lieutenant role to Sinister while Gambit is sort of the squad leader for the Marauders.

(XP Yes folks, I am still alive....almost...i'm in college!)

How's that working for you?

Yeah, I figure that is the most obvious way that it works.

She was always handed the right hand to Sinny. Right? That's the way I always saw her

The way i see it, Mystique is a tool of sinister. A highly useful tool, but she has never been capable of being her own super villian, just always someone else's right hand or a nuisance. Gambit has initiative and decision making skills that destroy Mystiques. Therefore they are both suited for a certain high up role, that while very important, are completely different. Mystique is trusted to carry Mr. Sinister's orders to the rest of his crew and to execute them to near perfection. However, if he has little idea of what might be coming and only has a vague objective ("one minute before dawn") he turns to Gambit, a man who can take nothing and turn it into something, ala his thief skills and long time with the X-men. To put it simply, Mr. Sinister is the president. Mystique is the Chief of Staff. Gambit is the Head of the Military.

Good point Ace. I do agree with that 100%...I think the plan will go as follows:
*clear throat*

Sinny is the puppet master pulling one the puppets strings and making them dance and leap as he pleases. He'll get careless...lazy even and decide to be lax with his controls and drop his defensive. At this point Gambit and her (Mystique) will team up to take over the controls. Not for the greater good but for their own personal gain. Which is the same thing  Rogue! Who gets to Rogue first? That's the question.

Both good points/posts Ace and GG. Although I expect Sinny trusts Mystique more than Gambit and perhaps likes to keep Gambit closer to hand! Capturing Rogue may be his way of keeping Gambit closer still and would also make things rather difficult if Remy 'comes to his senses' as she can be hostage material.
