I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, now that I've got that out of the way I can give you a sensible review.
First off, 2 chapters for the price of one has really made my night. And what good chapters they were.
Poor Remy, Alistair really beat the ever loving shit out of him didn't he. It should be interesting to see the revenge, especially if Rogue is involved
Interesting artwork guy in the 1st new chapter, care to give a hint as to who he is (unless that would spoil things)?
And interesting comment about not telling Wolvie why Josh was needed. Wonder what the Canuck would do if he found out?
Delirium's speech was almost impossible to read, but I did and boy she really is nutso isn't she. I bet she and
Wanda Maximoff would be really good friends, being onmipotent and nutso.
Just one little quibble:- its Bo staff, not bow.
Can't wait for the next bit. Please post more soon. _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.

I was worried Del's speech pattern would be hard to pick up on, but I let a friend read a few lines before I posted it and they seemed to think they would be fine. If they are too hard on the eyes, I would have no qualms about making the font normal. Just let me know.
I imagine Wolvie would do nothing nice, and would do so with very pointy claws.
Yeah, bo.....I'm a friggin' moron....I thought something looked wrong, I just couldn't figure out what. _________________ I am Loki Scar-Lip, Loki Skywalker, Loki Giant's Child, Loki Lie-Smith.

Don't worry about the Bo thing, my text editor automatically tries to shift it to bow every time.
And Delirium's speech pattern wasn't too hard to read, just took a bit of getting my head around. It really adds to her character.

Oh man, that latest chapter was a classic.
I really like the jovial atmosphere that was in medbay between Hank, Kitty, Rogue and Remy. It had me laughing along, especially at the thought of Remy introducing Hank to Delirium.
Cyke and Rogue ganging up on Remy was good, as was Death's cameo. She does mysterious very well, and Remy isn't the only one that wonders where we can find a reaper cloak for here
I also very much enjoyed the way you showed Remy's pride as a thief.
Looking forward to the next chapter Ave with baited breath. _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.

Woooooooooooooooooooo!!! Can you believe I finally found time to read it!
And even better......I got to read the whole lot in one go! Phew what a rollercoaster of a ride! Very exciting, imaginative, intriguing and brilliant! My only regret is now I gotta wait to read the next chapter! Soooo come on Ave write write write! (Maybe we can borrow Stefs handcufs and chains to tie you to your desk!)
Speaking of Stef - she said:

| And interesting comment about not telling Wolvie why Josh was needed. Wonder what the Canuck would do if he found out? |
Lol....my guess would be cos he would go on an immediate rampage trying to save the day and take over the whole story like he always does!
As for the fight with Alistair........I am wondering, is it hard to write a fight between two characters who are both equally important and non-expendable? I don't know A from the Sandman series but its obvious Gambit can't just take him out in a pinch...and of course our Remy can't be killed off in his own story so I am very intrigued how thats all going to pan out!
Oh and the painter.........hmm? I have an idea that Gambit will discover the 'who' at the end and be shocked and amused at having met someone so important in the fates whom was so damn well down-to-earth!
And yes, as a bonus bit of fun I reckon you should do us a small Delirium meets Hank extra after the end! Haha....that'd be sweet! I can just imagine her thinking Beast is some blue furred dOGgiE!!! Awwww..... _________________ *

*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE* NEW CHAPTER!!!!
*pauses for breath*
Ok, over it now.
That was a damn good chapter Ave, damn good. So it was Loki all along, prentending to be Ares, damn that was a twist that I wasn't expecting.
Rogue's fight with Alister was classic. I especially like the line:
| Quote: |
| Leaving Rogue and Alistair to enjoy some bonding time |
That really was a battle of the titans, but I'm not surprised that the Southern beaty won. She kinda had to really, especially after what he had done to her man.
Finding out that the painter was Destruction was another good plot twist. I knew that the painter was far more than he was letting on, but I didn't expect that.
I almost feel sorry for Loki and Alistair being in Dream's realm. Oh boy do I get the feeling that they are going to get what they deserve.
This isn't the end yet is it? _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.

Hey I read it! And oooh Loki! God I'm kicking myself as I shoulda known! Lol....but a good job too as I think Remy and even Destruction would have had bigger problems had it really been Ares!
Ah, the Rogue vs Alistar fight....hmmm? Interesting twist as I was expecting Remy to have a rematch and win. Leaves it feeling a little...unresolved. But adding the team eliment is very X-Men as opposed to Gambit solo all the time. And how wonderful for a woman to put down such a cocky Irish bugger!
I'm now left wondering where chapter 9 is heading from here! Remy still has to face Dream and make him believe the book is gone!
But all in all you are a star at writing! Keep 'em coming! _________________ *

Oh man, what a long read. I read ALL 9 chapters. I been meaning to read your fic for awhile now, just neglected to do so. I took the chance and read all 9 chapters. Overall, the fiction itself is terrific. I'm tempted to print it out for future reads or share among my friends. Main thing I'm really enjoying is how you've got Romy written. I thought it was pretty cool that she can touch only in Dream's realm. Shame, he couldn't fulfill the wish for the real word. Ah well, maybe they'll find that "higher power" eventually. I love the fic, Avarice. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next chapter, and maybe my wish of them having a "real" emotional date without any incidents will happen. I can keep wishing, can't I? |

Wow, what an ending.
You tied up all the loose ends perfectly, and I loved Rogue and Remy's banter as the entered Dream's castle.
I also really like the fact that in his heart of hearts Dream is a romantic, even if he tries to hide it.
What touched me most about this was the request that Remy made. So damn sweet it almost had me sniffling.
And you've left me wondering what this 'higher purpose' is. Does it mean that there will be a sequal? _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.

Awwww that was way sweet! And yes I agree it really pulled it all together and gave Rogues presence in the fiction more purpose.
Still kinda sad though that they could only be together in the dream world, brings back the whole tragedy of their love! But then thats the nature of Rogues life!
And the higher purpose comment would be excellant if Marvel were as ingenious as you Ave and actually thought long term about their characters future purposes! _________________ *

Hey you were lucky...you got to read it all in one! I read it all in one BUT before chapter 9 was posted so I had to wait for it! Hahaha....I like your idea of printing it out too. One day we're bound to see works of Aves in the shops for real! _________________ *

If Ave actually published a real Gambit novel, I'd purchase it in no time at all. |

Well he'd have to work for Marvel to be allowed to do that but I would very much love to see some work of his using his own created characters.... _________________ *
