LOL
The trench coat really isn't a sure sign huh? Now if they've got the weird head thing that he wears too... then you can be pretty sure that they're fans...but even then the blank stare could happen...LOL

I have yet another question! Does anybody know of any examples of Gambit being involved in Voodoo? Is that what Tante Mattie does? |

Tante Mattie is technically a Traiteur, someone who is a faith healer with the laying on of hands and combines Catholic prayer and medicinal remedies. There's the wikipedia article here, which has a couple of other good links (especially the encyclopedia of Cajun culture).
As for Gambit being involved in Voodoo himself, as far as I know the closest he's got is when he worked with Brother Voodoo, but he himself never took part in any workings.
He has taken part in Guild ceremonies, but those are a curious mix of Catholic and the religion of the Old Kingdom (which is invented for this).
Hope this helps. _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.

Yeah I go with what Stef said! I think a part of voodoo and religion is deeply engrained in Gambit...like deep down he is scared of death and the whole sinner thing...but he also tries to steer away from it all too. Perhaps he thinks if he can not believe it won't effect him in death? _________________ *

Well Gambit himself is technically a Catholic, although he considers himself lapsed these days. I think for the most part he tries not to get involved in religion because it holds too much remembered pain for him. _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.

Yup, he does indeed. Here is some fairly accurate information, with more found at http://www.marvel.com/universe/Brother_Voodoo_(Jericho_Drumm). The second link may take some time to load since the Marvel.com pages are taking a hammering at the moment. _________________ And I sit, endlessly watching the people as they walk below me, knowing that I will never walk among them, knowing I will never live as they have lived and loving them for it.
