He looks dead but then so do the rest of them.

True he's been stabbed by Wolvie, but he's walked away with worse so I doubt they've taken him out of the picture entirely.

Hahaha.  No doubt.

I don't think Remy took the clawing to the chest.  Let's face it if Wolvie skewered Remy's chest the Cajun would be a bit on the dead side.  I think the furball jabbed Remy in the side.  You know, make him bleed a little before engaging him in conversation (which is secretly Logan's strong suit).

It is looking a bit like Remy and Cable were working together...or at least like Remy was hoping Cable would be smart enough to pick up the clue he dropped back on Providence.

Now does anyone else wonder what happened to Mystique during the brawl?  She kinda disappeared.  Don't suppose she'd do somethink like, look for the baby herself...or maybe move her daughter somewhere safer...I think I mentioned this before, but maybe not...Earlier in Carey's run Cable told Mystique she was referred to as a big Judas in the future.  Maybe that reference isn't so much because she just betrayed the X-Men, but because she just betrayed the X-Men and is about to turn around and betray Sinister.

Anyway, loved the issue.

Ooh this is turning out to be sooo twisty and interesting! I am pretty sure that Remy IS working for his own agenda if not the X-Mens and protects them (as with sparing Cannonballs life in 203, pretending his cards missed).

I don't think Cable and Remy were are are working together but Remy is helping from behind the scenes, dropping hints, destroying the diaries.

I don't know if Wolvie is just too dense and angry to know this or if his little stabbing was essential to maintain Remys cover with 'the bad guys' and as Remy doesn't die (I presume) that means Wolvie pulled his 'punch'...probably carefully aimed as Avarice said, or perhaps the claws not fully extended.

Yeee...I know I'm behind but I should be getting 204 and 205 in the post next week! I can judge for myself much better then!

There's been some speculation that the rabbit that was watching Cable near the end was Mystique, but I'm undecided on that one.

I think it's entirely possible that Mystique stole Rogue away from Sinister, especially considering he's said that he can't do anything to help with her mind. Maybe she'll go to Xavier next?

I can see Mystique being called a Judas for betraying both sides, but then it seems that betrayal is in her nature.

Yeah, I'm pretty divided as to whether Remy is working on his own agenda or working with Cable properly. One thing I do know is that all the signs are pointing towards him being a good guy in disguise. *happy dance*

It's possible he took it to the gut. Gut wounds take a fair amount of time to bleed out, hurt like hell and can be fixed reasonably easily (especially by someone with Sinister's level of skill and tech).

I can't wait until next week (and #206 next month)

As I understand Mystique's power, that rabbit should not be her.  Now I could fully well be wrong, but as far as I know Mystique is incapable of gaining or subtracting mass in her shape-shifting.  And for her to get all bunny-fied, she'd have to evict quite a bit of mass.

And I could fully see Mystique taking Rogue to Xavier.  Especially if her end game involves, or even is, her daughter's health.

And if betrayal is her nature then the big Judas title certainly fits.

As to Wolvie stabbing Remy, I saw a very interesting hypothesis on the Marvel.com forums.  Remember how Emma hid the diaries by using a psychic double-blind password?  Basically she blocked off a part of her mind and a part of Kitty's mind, and one had to give a 'password' to the other to unlock the psychically buried password to unlock the memory in the other person...confused yet...anyway, what if the 'moment before dawn' bit was a password to unlock a memory in Cable, and this has all been a plan by the X-Men, but they had Emma psychicly lock off that memory to ensure the plan works.  It's a stretch, sure, but I thought it sounded neat.  Outside of that, I'm fairly certain Logan was playing for keeps, not acting.

Besides, Wolvie does tend to be one to stab now and ask questions later.

That is a very interesting theory regarding the password safeguarding etc, it could be possible.

As for Mystique she can change down like that but she can't displace the mass, so she'd be a very heavy rabbit.

Not to dispute you, but I got curious as to Mystique's powers, so I checked out a few sights (Marvel.com, Wikipedia, UncannyX-Men.net) and an older (2002ish) X-Men Ultimate Guide just to see what they said.  And they all only mentioned her ability to assume any humanoid shape, but has to maintain her mass.  I've never seen her impersonate animals except for on X-Men: Evolution (which is hardly canon), but just because I've not seen it doesn't mean she can't.  So I ask: Can Mystique take the form of animals?  Has it been done in comics?

Hmm....good point. I recall Morph could in XTAS but as far as I can tell or have seen Mystique does indeed stick to humonoid shapes....

You know I'm not actually sure. I always thought she could, but then I've been known to be wrong Smile

Wolvie doesn't have Gambit's intellectual capacity or foresight.  In fact, NO X-character is as brilliant as Gambit, since he's the best.  REMY RAWKS.

 Very Happy

On a side note, only time I saw Mystique take a non-human form, or at least a less-human form was in the Sabretooth/Mystique mini.  She kinda took on a winged demon shape and flew Sabretooth out of a dangerous situation.  During flight, she mentioned she couldn't make herself stronger or create mass, so he dropped him not long after.

True enough.  But Remy doesn't have Wolverine's excessive body hair or ability to perfectly mimic the scent of a wet dog after taking a shower.
