· Quote

Alright, you get to detail your absolute choice to play Gambit in whatever movie(s) that you want. There are no rules, you can pick someone dead or alive at whatever age you think that they would be best suited to play the part. Decide any significant attributes or defining characters and moments that you would like to see in a movie featuring Gambit.

Feel free to pull ideas from the comic books or to just use your imagination.

Age: 29 or 30
Actor: Josh Holloway
Movie(s): X-Men 4 and X-Men Origins: Gambit
The Part: Dangerous loner that has ulterior motives and a dark past, though eventually does the right thing.
Other Impacting Characters: Thieves Guild, Professor X, Rogue, Sinister,
Memorable Moment(s): Anytime he uses his insanely cool fighting skills and powers - as well as has his shirt off and charms/smiles at the other characters/camera.

^ There is my example...

Add to it in your own answers all you like with more details that you would deem important to Gambit in a movie world. Enjoy! Very Happy

Age: 24ish
Actor: Justin Chatwin (jjust to be different Razz)

Movie(s): Gambit Origins
The Part: I'd like to see a young pre-X-Men Gambit storyline, perhaps mixing a bit of the Hammerhead story (where he rescues the young girl) and the necklace-stealing story when he first runs into Sabretooth. His dilema and shame over saving his brother over the girl (could be a cool twist to switch that to saving the little girl over his brother instead!) could lead to his turn around from shallow thief to hero and end with Xavier appearing to offer him a 'job' with the X-Men and his first glimpse of Rogue, where a glint in his eyes and a broad smile shows he only says yes cos of her. That would pave the way for X4!
Other Impacting Characters: The girl, Hammerhead, Sabretooth, his bro Henry and the woman (forgot her name) who he seduces.
Memorable Moment(s): Some seductive bedroom scenes with the woman! (shower scene a must!) Fantastic use of his power when he blows off Hammerheads head with the quote 'the powers in me, not the cards'. Ultra cute moments rescuing the little girl who idolises him very quickly! Very cool fight scenes with Sabretooth, getting his arse kicked but then making a super comeback! Heart wrenching scenes when his brother (or the woman) falls and dies!

Oooh I can just see it all now!

Actor: Dennis Quaid
Age: However old he was in The Big Easy...I think he was in his early 30s
Movie(s): X-Men 4 or even better: a Gambit solo movie
The Part: It isn't clear who he's working for, charms the pants off of everyone, funny, mysterious background, easy going, pretty much how he was in the early 90s when adjectiveless started up.
Other Impacting Characters: Thieves Guild, Rogue (although if it's X4 there'd have to be a different actress...the Gambit/Rouge interaction wouldn't be as good with her), the X-men in general
Memorable Moment(s): Hm...something similar to the boysenberry pie incident, super badass use of powers, and breaking into the mansion and looking super awesome doing it.  if the movie was sorta like The Big Easy it'd be cool too

LOL...I haven't seen that movie but I have heard others say the same thing Velocity - He must have a really strong Gambit-Vibe in it! It's awesome when Gambit breaks into different places, would be really interesting to see him take on the X-Mansion in a film!

Well when I first watched it, the movie was about halfway through...but the first thing I thought was #hm...this guy is kinda like Gambit...#  Then I found out Dennis Quaid's character's name was Remy and flipped a switch  Laughing it was meant to be!

I ended up seeing the movie in it's entirety later...

"If I can't have you, can I at least have my gator?" XD  I could imagine Gambit saying something like that...

Can I just have a shower scene with him? *cross legs and begins to fan myself* Is it hot?

But for real. I cant really see anyone really playing Gambit as of today (brain is still coping with new year)...
Age: I think I would want a man in the earily 30's or in late 20's (leaning more towards 30's though)
Movie(s):Joker's played
The Part: It would be a normal role for him. Having a job to d, meet a girl, team up with girl (discover much later that the girl in none other than Rogue), get item, discover purpose for item (dont like what the buyer wants to do with it), big beginning battle barely exits with head, has a steamy hot burning skin off sexual situation scene that begins at teh entrance of building (via door or window) which ends up in a much needed cleansing in the shower and another roll in bed, bad guy kidnapp girl, go gets girl and item. come out victorious.
Memorable Moment(s):did you read the sexual situation. But I think it would be the turning point of him recognizing the evil that he assistant in creating.
