Keep in mind that I hate the Fantastic Four and that this was only episode one, so things are capable of changing.
I thought it was cool that the first episode didn't bother with origins, I like how they jumped into an already established world. That being said, I could have done without yet another, Capture a Hero, Put Him on Trial, then Forgive Him After a Selfless Act plot.
The animation was alright. It wasn't bad, but neither was it eye grabbing. Every time Reed came on screne I found myself wanting to slit his rubbery throat. His dialogue was horrid. I suppose it is difficult to write such an intelligent character convincingly, but both the original animated X-Men and Evo managed to pull off Beast, an equally intelligent character, beautifully. I'm sure they're just trying to portray Reed as awkward, but they're making him annoying. Torch was kinda half and half. He had some funny lines, and then he would unleash a string of duds. Sue's character was ok, I enjoyed her scaring Reed. But Ben Grimm carried the show. He's the reason I'll be tuning in next week.

yeah i liked the comment about ben on the tv news caster athte end of the show and im sure origins will be disscussed later

i normally prejudge remakes of anything because i love my orginals. i will try to watch this with an open heart and mind and not be so mean towards it.

Hey CR, I've changed the name of the forum so that it is Movie and TV discussion.
Its good to hear that this wasn't all bad, and I can't wait till we get it over here so that I can see for myself.
