· Quote

I've finally aquired more Gambit artwork than you can shake a stick at.  I have already purchased 4 pages featuring Gambit from the recent X-Men Legacy storyarc.  Below are two scans of the 5 pages I have agreed to buy.

I also got a page from Billy Tan that he did for the Messiah Complex crossover.  How badass is that image of Gambit?

And continuing with the time themed X-Men I have gotten a Guy Dorian commission that puts Gambit, Rogue, and Wolverine in the Wild Wild West.

Let me know what you think.  More commissions, pages, and covers will be posted soon.  I'm almost done paying off prior commitments.[/b]

The first 3 images are the original production art used to make the comics.

The western theme piece was a commission that an artist did for me based on an idea that I had.  I gave him all the details I wanted in there and he just went to town with the details on it.  I got a similiar commission done a year ago.

You might remember the Mutant Mobsters piece that Clayton Henry did for me of Gambit, Rogue, and Wolverine set in a 1940s Chicago Mobster setting.  I can provide a link if you want.

Hella sexy! I love it.

I love it. You got someone to draw these for you for some thing you were writing? Or something?

I've dabbled in fan fiction, but tend to keep it all to myself.  Most of my commissions are very loose ideas where I don't give specific details.  I feel that I get something from the artist that is more pure and organic creatively that way.  I asked Clayton to take this image I had in my head of Gambit, Wolverine, and Rogue set in a 40s era and pencil it out.  I gave a lot of details for what I wanted, but he just took it one step further.  The X symbol on the car was all him, the untucked shirt for Wolvie was all him also.  I'm very proud of the commission pieces I have gotten from artists and value them more personally than the published artwork used in the comics.

With that said I can't wait till I pay off my newest piece of published artwork.
Here's some hints to what it is:
A) It is without a doubt probably the most used image of Gambit in the past 10 years.  Shit I'm sure some of you have even had it as your desktop in one way or another in the past.
B) It was used as a cover when Gambit was "X-treme"
C) Playing cards, playing cards, playing cards
Got any guesses as to what the image is?

.....can't wait till November when it's paid off

New Gambit & Rogue artwork to be added soon.  Check out this sketch from my friend Tyler Kirkham.  Tyler has worked on X-Men: Warsong, New Avengers/Transformers, the Darkness, and is currently the penciller for Ultimate Fantastic Four (written by Mike Carey!).
This is the loose prelim before the background is added, but I just couldn't wait to post it here.

Also since no one decided to guess what new cover I bought...I figured I would just post it.  That's right ladies and gents I own the cover to Xtreme Xmen #8.  WooHoo!!!!!

I think she's looking a little girly, not so womanly-curvy...but who cares when Gambit looks really yummy HOT!

And ooh, thats one of my fave covers. Looks funny seeing it in its original uncoloured form. Very cool Stryker!
