I just watched Cloverfield last night and I am like "WOW". I liked it! Not the camera action so much but the concept of the movie was good. Have any of yall seen it? If you did let's discuss what your opinions about it?

I don't know if our systems are compatible? But then.....we used to buy films from the U.S (region 1) and they play on our DVD?

But you can't go spending money on sending anything! Don't worry! I'll keep an eye out for it here!

Honestly, I didn't care for that movie. Not only the bad camera angles, but also how it's just another giant monster movie and really isn't very unique except for the bad camera angles. Also there was just way too much drama in it, in my opinion. I mean, I usually like dramas but this was just a disgrace. I mean you have to choose between a drama and monster movie: I think there probably only a handful if movies that have pulled that off. Also, there were barely any shots of the monster and isn't that the point of a giant MONSTER movie. But I digress, overall I'd probably only give that movie like a D+ to a C-.

I was thinking the style was different for many people. It wasn't like a normal scary monster movie but was suppose to be a documentary. So if you think of it as that it is pretty good. I know the majority of us are burnt out on the Blair Witch type themes but this one was pretty good. It left me wanting more. I want to know if we killed the monster, what happened to the girl behind the curtain, why no one made a fire launcher weapon with hair spray and a lighter? These questions I wanted answered...maybe there be another movie movie of Cloverfield. Maybe not. I'll just wait and see. I give it a B
