LMAO about the Slip 'N Slide and having more people in my backyard.
There were 8 people in my yard, so you might be right. _________________ >>>>>Feuer FREI<<<<<<

I know that we only stay at WWK for maybetwo hours! Plus we have passes. If I didn't, unless they more next year like they are saying, I can't see the future of WWK being bright! I know I loved the fact you could go back and forth between the rides and slides to et hot and cool off, but now there is no wow factor at all. I mean I they could have least kept the nets and the Theater! |

| OK, so I am still so torn. I will be headed back to that area next week for a visit and I just dont know what to do. I really dont want to give them a penny of my money but in my heart I know that WWK will not bere there mcuh longer, if it even survives this season. It may be my last chance to say goodbye to what is left of my memories. I wish I knew somebody that could let me in for an hour to just look around and get some pictures. I certainly could care less about actually using the water stuff. |
If you decide to go, I think Giant Eagle, AAA and local hotels might have some discount tickets. If you know any season passholders, they might be able to get you in for less as well.
One of the few charming things about Wildwater Kingdom are the reminders of Sea World, and hopefully Big Dipper and the Needle would still be standing across the lake when you get there. Leave a cooler in the car for food (and get most of your merchandise at half price at Tradewinds outside the gate) and you will actually be hurting their per capita average, if you go.
This place will not be around in 2010, and very possibly even in 2009. I don't want to see it fail, but have little doubt it will. _________________ "It's a very special ride. We want to make sure it has a proper home." Cedar Fair's Innes on Big Dipper, 12th oldest roller coaster on Earth.

yup! i'm going to kennywood in a few weeks for the first time ever, with mah kidz, cuz they're with me on boycotting Cedar Point. i looked at pics of their rides, and i'm pretty excited, cuz some of the stuff looks old skool and reminds me of a local amusement park that i used to go to |

oh, and back on topic. good god no, WWK won't make it. we should start a betting pool on the closing date (i predict end of next season). makes no sense that CF would auction off water slides for a fraction of what they originally cost, instead of just relocating them what... 1/4 of a mile? to an open and running waterpark they already own. |

I'd say it closes after the 2009 season. With the amusement park side gone i dont see a way of surviving on its own even with maybe 1 or 2 more additions.... _________________ 1888-2007
