We had 11 people (including myself) place orders for prints. To date I have 7 people's (including myself) payments. Two other people have sent notes indicating that payment is on the way. I'm still waiting to hear back from the other two if they plan to still participate in this offer. I haven't checked money order/check amounts yet to verify everything is correct (I'm just piling the envelopes in my in-box -- I hope I can trust everyone).  I'm also not depositting personal checks (against my better judgement, I'd rather feel confident all of them will clear). Without checking all the orders, off the top of my head I'm pretty sure between the payments I have and the notes I've seen that we'll have enough to guarantee discount amounts by this weekend. There is still one order no paid for and the member has not contacted me to advise if he's still interested.  If I don't hear from him before then I'll assume he's no longer interested and place the order without it - that order will not affect the discount amounts (we'll have 29 8x11s instead of 34) so everyone else's orders should not be impacted by that. Dsloban: YHPM I can't wait to see these prints and hope everyone is as excited as I am to take advantage of this. I've checked the totals on the payments made and everyone was good - two of you paid $.30 additional (conspiracy).  I'll send you each notes in the next few days to see if you'd like me to put a couple coins in the envelope when I send the pictures. If you've been checking your bank statements (or calling the money order company) to see if your checks have cleared you've probably noticed they haven't - I wanted to make sure there were not going to be any complications with the order before I started cashing checks.  I plan to deposit the payments tomorrow afternoon so your statements will reflect that in the coming days.  Those who paid with cashier/bank checks I'll assume will clear immediately, the personal checks I may have to hold a couple days to make sure we're good. It's not that I don't trust you... several people chose to send payments via Certified Mail and I don't think they don't trust me - it's just for safety, I hope you understand. Anyway... I hope we'll be in contact again in the very near future to arrange pick-up or mailing. He's going to be contacting his lab to request prints of our order.  He's going to contact me next week Tuesday to discuss a possible in-person pick-up (depending on the lab's turn around) next Thursday. I'd like to mention that next weekend is my birthday (happy birthday to me) so I won't be available for pick-up then.  The girlfriend gets Saturday and between her and God on Sunday my time is booked: The girlfriend gets upset if I miss "our time" and I'm sure God has the same feeling if I miss "Church time". My friends and I are planning a birthday party next Saturday at a bar in Medina, if you're down south (and if the prints are ready by then) and would like to meet me there send me an IM and I'll bring your prints along.  Fair warning: it's my birthday party - you'll be expected to buy me a drink - ROFL. BellaCroix Double Loop User is Offline Joined: 03 Nov 2007 Posts: 259 Location: Bedford, Ohio	Posted: Mon Aug 04, 2008 10:14 pm    Post subject: Global Update... · Quote Head's up to all that ordered: I just got an e-mail from the photographer.  The "large" prints are completed and he expects the rest to be done by tomorrow night (I've worked labs before and also remember waiting for my mom's "15-more-minutes" meat loaf to be ready so I'm guessing that equals early Wednesday morning). Anyway... we (the photographer and I) have plans to meet to exchange on Thursday night.  Assuming all goes as planned I'll have prints in hand by then. Here's the complication (yeah, you knew it was coming - right?): this weekend is my birthday party(ies) so I'm pretty much booked up. I have a party at a nightclub in Lakewood on Friday and another in Medina on Saturday.  If you're near those areas and you'd like to make pick-up on one of those nights let me know and I'll bring your order along with me.  Send me an IM and I'll give you details of where I'll be and until when. I may be making a trip out to Geauga Lake on Saturday AM (that's a big maybe) and, if I do, I'll probablly stop off at BW3's for some wings. Otherwise, I hope to have mailed orders in the post by the weekend (hopefully hang-overs wont make me miss Post Office hours).  If you'd prefer in-person pick-up (and can't make it to either of my parties) we'll start working out final details next week. Can't wait to see the photos. Without further adoo:  THE PHOTOS ARE IN!!!! I just came home from meeting with the photographer to pick up our order - the guy is definitely a class act, wish I could have spent more time talking to him but there was a horrible rain storm and when I put the pictures in the car I heard on the radio they were calling for hail and decided it was better to get my car into the garage. Anyway... I've taken a look at a couple of them and am amazed by the quality!  I even put one of the 8 x 11's under a 5x loupe and could still barely make out any pixelation or print grain!  Drooooooool. So, as I said in my last post: This weekend is my birthday so I'm pretty much booked solid.  If you'd like to arrange pick-up this weekend unfortunately I'm not going to be able to spend much time driving to and fro trying to meet up. Friday night I'll be at a nightclub in Lakewood with Westside friends. Saturday night I'll be at a bar in Medina with SE and South friends. God gets the AM on Sunday, the family gets the PM. If you're near one of those cities and would like to pick up let me know, I'll put your order together and bring it along with me.  I'm pretty well known at the Lakewood location, ask for me at the door and they'll fetch me, the bar in Medina will probably require you to call my cell phone and I'll meet you in the parking lot to save you the cover charge (unless you'd like to buy me a birthday drink). Starting next week I'll be sending PMs to those who still need delivery to arrange pick-up or mailing. I hope you all love these as much as I am already.
