***I know I'm breaking the rules here but I've run it past Coasterdad who approved the thread - before attempting a similar posting please get permission.***
***Listing of "For Sale" items is specifically prohibitted by forum guidelines!***

I've been in communication with a company, Aerial Aspect Photography (thanks LiquidLasers), which specializes in aerial photography and who have several stock photographs taken of the park (see below) from before deconstruction (**edit** checking again I noticed it was actually from the very early stages of deconstruction... all of the rides at the end of 2007 are somewhat standing but parts are being staged in the parking lot for removal).

My contact has agreed to offer us group pricing if we place our order together - price and discount information below.

What I proposed to him is that I would collect the funds necessary, place a single order to be shipped directly to me, then handle the re-mailing to each person.  I'd charge actual postage necessary to mail whatever your order consists of - I'm not in it to make money personally (actually just to save a little money myself).

Here's the pricing information:
Size      Print Price
8.5 x 11   $18.00 each
11 x 17    $33.00 each
13 x 19    $45.00 each
16 x 20    $57.00 each
20 x 24    $84.00 each
24 x 36   $132.00 each
30 x 40   $174.00 each

...and the discount he offered:
1 print - Pricing above
2-10 prints  - 10% off each print
11-20 prints - 20% off each print
21-30 prints - 30% off each print

The best part:  The group price is per PRINT not per exposure!  That means if 4 of us order all 5 exposures it is a 20% discount... not 4 orders of 5 photographs!

I've told him I will leave this thread active for 2-weeks before placing the complete order - if you're interested let me know.  I'll contact each of you via PM to get order details and let you know about payment details.  Re-mailing costs would follow after but you can estimate for yourself what it would cost: re-mailing would be from 44146.

He's left open the possibility of additional negotiation but I feel this offer is more than generous especially considering the quality of the photos.  Unless you're the only one trying for something along the lines of a 24 x 36 I don't plan to pester him further.

And now the money shots:
Raging Wolf Bobs
Big Dipper (from over Auora Road)
Wide Angle Beauty Shot (from south)
Big Dipper (from over Geauga Lake)
Wide Angle Beauty Shot (from north)

i think it is important in a respectfull way to flood the papers with letters to the editor, bad newspaper publicity will force stockholders of Cedar Fair to take notice and perhaps save the dipper and maybe have Kinzel hit the road, i think they have already taken notice....i for one am now a FORMER stockholder of Cedar Fair as i have sold my interest.....dont get me wrong, i love cedar point and will continue to go there, although until they make things right, i will not spend a dime inside the park, we will picnic in the parking lot...it is always sad when a park closes, clevelanders love geauga lake, just as we loved euclid beach and cedar point as well and we do not want to see it just trashed without respect to the people who loved it so much, to not have a final day still sickens me. when i walked through the park last week, it dawned on me that the dipper was the final coaster my mom and i ever road together, she was over 70 at the time but she was a trooper and rode along with me and my young son.....the big dipper was good to all of us for 80 years and provided us fun and enjoyment, its time we do something for the dipper now.....its time to demand cedar fair does one thing right and sees to it the dipper remains where it is and will run again..

I would be interested. Let me know when you start getting some interest in this so I can pick which one I'd want.

I would be interested as well.  Of course it depends on the final price because my wife is losing patience with my GL craziness, lol.

I would like it as well. I would like to get a good shot so if you could send me something of what I would get that would be great.

Cool... we have a couple people interested so if you're been holding out because you didn't want to solo-skate or be the only one jumping aboard you don't have to worry anymore... sign up.

I'm not sending out PMs just yet... I'll give it a couple days before I start sending out messages.

Ohiocoasterman: the only available photos (as far as I know) are posted in the original thread.  While I wish I could have gotten more photos of different angles we have to deal with what we have available.  The photographer did not send me proofs (nor did I ask) so there's nothing I can send other than the links.

Swadze: I can completely understand that, my girlfriend is giving me the same thing.  I just point out how many times she wished I was into something other than hockey, beer, and/or strippers.  Now she's okay with me spending a couple bucks on "history".

Lights062393: Here's interest... Heh

I am interested too, depending on final price.

Is there a way to see if he has one of both sides of the lake showing? Possibly an older one from when it was Sea World and Geauga Lake? That I would LOVE to have.

Glad I'm not the only one... My Fiancee is threatening to call it all off!  Razz  (She grew up in Minneapolis, missed out on / too young for Excalibur Park, and ValleyFair isn't old enough to have these kinds of family attachments.)

I would take one, but seeing Dominator either half-gone or in the parking lot, and Turtle Beach sitting empty....

If they have any from the early/mid 90's, I'm in.

I think my husband would be totally interested in the RWB photo. I will let him post if he wants it.

The more people the better, we would like to save as much money as possible. Smile

Let us know!

The photos look great, especially the ones of Wolf Bobs and Big Dipper.  But the wide angle shot from the north side, you can tell they had started taken down Dominator and Thunderhawk.  Someone in the Geuaga Lake Past section posted an aeriel shot that showed all the coasters from the north side.

I agree with dance2874, if we can get a shot that showed both sides of the lake, that would be sweet.  I would be interested depending on final price

I found this picture on my hard drive of SFWoA in all its glory taken in 2003. IT actually brought a tear to my eye. I watermarked it as I do not know the original author. If anyone does please let me know.

***Additional information on photo availability:***

I heard from the photographer who swung by the forum to check in on interest so far... he's noticed a few people asking about other photos, other angles, or other years and asked that I pass along that the five photos listed in the original thread are the only 5 exposures that he has.

The photos were not taken as part of a contract job and he simply snapped off the shots while completing a fly-by on his way to an assignment.
