Does anyone know what ever happened to the Muzik Express(or however you spell it!) when they removed it from the park?  Was it just torn down or did it go somewhere else?

It rotted and rusted in a field:

Thanks.  A compliment from you about a photograph means a lot to me.

Honestly I'm not sure any of it's details.  I found it while surfing through Photobucket/Flickr about a year ago and saved it.  I tried writing to the poster to find out more information but never heard back from him/her.

Wish I had more to go on.

Why would they do that to one of the best rides in the park. I remember always riding that at least 20 times in a day.

The rumor at the time it was placed there was that Musik Express was going to reappear in HH somewhere. But then CF coerced SF into selling the place to them and it was left to rot.

I really wonder how our perm would be if that little transaction had never taken place - we will never know.

The park would still be running, if that deal never would have took place!
But, what do I know!

Hopefully it ended up here. http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=931
Gl's model I believe was a Mack 1977. This one is listed as A 1984. As many times as I ran that ride I can't remember the outside theming!! But I remember the Chick magnet it was. Running that ride was like driving a
57 Vette to high school, You had all the girls numbers!
Only if you played their songs of course!!!

Heh... you just learned why I became a DJ.

We used to get tons of numbers in the "artsy" departments too.

Funny, the coin-op games didn't - I guess when your hands smell like copper at the end of every day you're not doing well.  Midway callers I think did the best - their JOB was to flirt.

Yeah I believe it! Artsy guys and Guys in bands always got the smoking hot girls. I was Capt of my Hockey team  drove a nice car and don't think I looked too bad. but i never got those kinda girls. I spend alot of my young years wondering all the time What I was doing wrong!
But hey I can't complain I met my wife there and she's hot. Me and my buddies used to have competitions at our rides of who could get the most phone numbers in a day's time. Believe it or not. the carousel always worked great for me. So what they were 65!

ROFL!  I remember a 50+ woman at Antique Photo putting a $5-note in my (ugly a** Funtime, Inc blue) shorts once.  I was so damaged I had to go on a 20 minute break in the break area under Double Loop.

Wow... I just remembered, back then someone (presumably the person who cleaned the "Livery" restrooms back there put the radio on some Christian station.  It wasn't just Christian, it was the "you're all going to burn in hell" Pastor Youreallgoingtoburninhell station.  When we weren't complaining about that... we were laughing about it.

Jesus... I wish memories would stop.

When I was at the auction I got into the old Fantasy Photo/Caricature stand and saw all my friends names graffitied all over the back room... it almost knocked me on my a**.

(That was 18+ years ago and I still remembered all the names and even writing my own Me loves X back there.)

I was mostly in Rainbow Island so all my memories are gone. I did find my initials on a few of the rides I ran. "Young punks carving their initials and dafacing property"!!!!!! That's probably what alot of people think. The Carousel posts, The Double Loop Station. Any where you see the big "IF" That was me.
