I saw on the 11 o'clock news that a guy with the last name of McHenry is opting to "put Port Clinton on the map" as they put it. He is planning on opening a GIGANTIC waterpark with both indoor and outdoor pools, among tons of other things to do.
Hmmm....now what was that I heard about WWK soon to be the biggest waterpark in Ohio? |

| What was the name of the water park in Port Clinton? WWK was supposed to add a second addition in 2006 and it never came. We got a wave pool and that was the last addition to the water park. I would like to see WWK survive and make it but with the way they handled GL closure, the auction, removal of auction items during the season, and destroying a park after 119 years, I think it will survive a few more years then close. |

I don't remember if the news even said a name. They just said it's a controversial issue now and it may be on the November ballot for Port Clinton residents.
I think this is totally awesome if it goes through. For those of you who don't know, Port Clinton is about 20 miles west of Sandusky, also on the lake. This would be competition for Soak City, Kalahari resort, and also Great Wolf Lodge. |

[sarcasm]With the outstanding media coverage and advertising campaign Wildwater Kingdom is receiving, I don't see how they possibly can't survive. Everywhere I turn I see some sort of brilliantly produced ad for this incredible waterpark.[/sarcasm]
Actually, I'd better not say too much about the advertising. We all know what happened last time. Part of the Axis Of Evil (tm) took issue with my criticism of a Cedar Fair brochure and we certainly don't want that to happen again... *sigh* _________________ "I'm a good-hearted, honest man... yet you all continue to boo me. Isn't there a water park already in Port Clinton? Monsoon Lagoon?
How many more water parks, whether indoor and/or outdoor, does Ohio need? _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

Well its not really about how many water parks...because well it seems like fun to me...its about indoor and outdoor fun, fun stuff you can do in the winter. Thats why WWK is so stupid because it is only a seasonal water park. I'm good for winter fun...or a multi-season waterpark. _________________ Geauga Lake I will miss you! |
