I was looking in RCDB to see if I could find a good example of a Wild Mouse, and looked on LeSourdesville Lake's page... Turns out their Serpent has been sold and removed last fall, going in a park up in Michigan.
Are we about to lose yet another local park / Miller coaster? |

Well, LeSourdesville Lake has been closed for a few years now. Jerry Couch is an idiot for leaving Screechin' Eagle sit there and doing nothing with the park. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

I know it's been closed, but with Screechin' Eagle and Serpent both still there (and the kid's coaster), it had a shot of re-opening someday.
If the Serpent was sold, I wonder if we won't see more trucks hauling out of LeSourdesville, and ruin any chances of that reopening. |

| What other rides did they have? I thought they just had 3 coasters. I never got a chance to visit it when it was open. It's a shame that these small parks can't stay in business with all these big parks around. |

As far as I know they didn't have much else in the way of thrill rides, but I think their carousel is still there, as well as some other flats.
It does look like some flats were being sold off as much as two years ago, though... The current owner of the property has been slicing off sections of unused land to expand an RV dealership of some sort. |

In the final season of operation (2002), LeSourdsville's ride list read something like this:
Flying Scooters (Bisch-Rocco?)
Zipper (Chance)
Pirate (Huss)
Musik Express (either Moser or Bertazzon)
Sky Ride (O.D. Hopkins)
Speedway (race-car ride, manufactured by ?)
Giant Slide (not sure of mfr)
Calypso (Mack, now at Fun Spot in Angola, IN)
Infernal Combustion (Owen Trailers)
Electric Rainbow (Hrubetz Round-Up, now at Stricker's Grove)
Scrambler (Eli Bridge)
Log Flume (Barr?)
Train (Chance)
Explorer (Reverchon)
Plus the Serpent and Screechin' Eagle. I'm pretty sure there were other rides... I just can't remember since I spent all of an hour there on my lone visit. Many of the flats like the Zipper and Musik Express were brought in by Pugh Shows who were contracted by Couch to run the midway. Too bad they ended up causing more harm than good. _________________ "I'm a good-hearted, honest man... yet you all continue to boo me. How DARE you treat me like that?"- Chris Jericho |

| See, something just a bit bigger than that size would've done great in a certain Geauga-County city... |
