Huppy75, I have no problem with you using it at all! Good minds think alike, we  just both thought the same idea, that's all! But, please don't change name it's really fine. Seeing a group started agianst Cedar Fair just makes me feel good inside.

Hey RideOps90's, do you think you know anyone with a video camera, it would be nice to see somebody do what this person did.

I have one. But with security being so tight the only shots we would get would be from outside. There is more to that park than just man power security. there are cameras everywhere.  I seen alot of camcorders on auction day. I wonder where all those videos are.

I doudt that they are even on cause my places never have them on, like at our local Wal-Mart store doesnt even have theirs on except for at the cash registers and at the exits and entrances, how i know is cause my neighbor is the manager so yeah. So i doudt that they have them on but they probably have tight security to keep their secret plan to destroy the Big Dipper!

What I meant was to get video footage of The Villian being disassimbled. Good views of that are from Main Gate or other side on depot rd. I walked right up to main gate 2 days ago, no problems. I don't think they would say anything as long as you don't jump the fence. I stuck my disposable camera threw the fence to get better shot's of Head spin and other areas of park, just like you did!

Remember Double Loop forever!

Trust me the cameras in the park work. There are dumb asses getting busted all the time trying to go in. We sell maintanence parts to WWK they moniter the cameras in the security shed in the back. The best camera in the park is on the Sky Scraper. 360 panaramic.

As far as camcorder shots of the dismantling i'll have to see what I can do. My boss has been nice enough to let me go shoot pictures. I don't want to press my luck.

RideOp, you rock!  Thanks so much for the photos. It is strange yet very upsetting to see DL missing from the skyline.

If you want to start seperate threads for each ride coming down, please feel free to do so.

No problem. Anything I can do to help. I'll get more of whatever comes down.

The funny thing is alot of people on this forum are asking if they are showing respect while tearing the coasters apart. These demolition guys could care less. they are there to do a job and do it as quick but as safe as possible. More than likely Villain will be torn apart same as the DL was. They are already removing rails and track. once that is done I think they will remove all the non scrappable wood and start tearing away.

Not to change the subject since this about Double Loop but is Pepsi Plunge gone too?  Sometimes if you look at the park from the angle the first two photos were taken you can sometimes see the top of the big hill peeking through. I don't see it in those photos.

Thanks for the pics. I guess my inital shock wore off after the auction, but this is still painful to see. My Arrows are disappearing. Thanks to YouTube and NoLimits it will always be open.

So did anyone find out if that awesome sign was saved? I emailed Cleveland Steel to find out....no reply yet. I figured if anyone knew what was saved, they would. It was one of the cooler signs in the park.
