Ray: sounds like a major ride to me.
at 6 mil, it sure isn't a Slip 'n Slide.
Is that a raft (round tube-thing) type ride? i ask because i like those. _________________ Great Lakes Brewery: Buy beer, buy local!

It sure is Flyingscooter- it's an Intamin River Rapids like the one at Darien Lake and the one that used to reside at the late Six Flags Ohio/Worlds of Adventure. I guess a ride with a custom concrete trough, a custom station, and all the water equipment isn't major though. |

Hmm...well, does anyone suppose Cedar Point is trying to compete with the new water ride that Holiday World is getting? If CP gets Perilous Plunge, that won't be as big as HW's new ride....so, maybe CP is getting something BRAND new? (Even though they really can't afford it). |

^ No, Cedar Point will not be competing with Holiday World. They aren't in the same market. Kings Island on the other hand is somewhat, but they compete more with SFKK.
Michigans Adventure's expansion is tricky. They were in disaggreement over the citys water and the city was trying to stick them with an injust amount for use and for taxes, thats why there were very few newer attractions from 2002-2005, only beautification projects, really.
When the park was purchased, they finished the Morgan-built Bee Bop Blvd. which had been under construction for 3 years and re-did both Go Cart Tracks, put in a 1-station train, added the Skycoaster and Moved at Set of Cedar Points Dodgems not to mention significant repaints, replanting of trees and new fences throughout.
Since then they have added a Tornado slide, Cedars old Swan Boats, Thunderhawk of course, expanded the train with a second station, repainted and refurbished their wheel, opened up part of the midway and relocated the Scrambler. The changes are slow, but effective.
Used Rides:
Cedar Fair generally don't buy used rides from "other" parks due to probelms they have had in the past. Since Geauga Lakes rides were maintained by Cedar Fair in 2004 and beyond, the chain was familiar with that equipment and moved the rides they felt were in the best condition and most cost-effective.
The cost of purchasing/moving a used ride has to be less than 50¢ on the Dollar or it's not worth it. |

A reliable witness saw some of the shrubbery along Route 43 being dug up and the root bulbs wrapped in November, that may be the answer. _________________ "It's a very special ride.
