Um, it is my car. If I were to lie about a car why would I say an Envoy? Why not a Crossfire, Viper, or something like that.

I could care less if you believe me or not.

CD, what are you getting at now? I am CP's number one fan.

FYI, I was not the one who said I was a CP expert. Katie said it first.

Lets see a real picture Einstein, anyone can go on the Internet and search for a picture of a particular make.

What I was saying Einstein is that your the number one fan and you can't make CP everything??? Come one, your dropping down notches every time you post.

I think I have shown enough proof that you really aren't CP's number one fan - I am done.

Why would I take pictures of my car? Sorry, I guess you're jealous because you drive around some rust bucket with no insurance.

So, you expect me now to make my whole life revolve around CP? You are getting more ridiculous by the minute. Right, I have time to be at CP every single second of my life. People have things to do CD.

I am CP's number one fan and you just need to accept that. Deal with it!

I WANT A BIG STICK AND EVERY GM A$$HOLE EXECUTIVE NOW!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!!!

This Saturn closing thing sucks bigtime!!
You want to talk about conspiracy theory?

Those gm bastards came to us 2 weeks ago to sign a new dealer's agreement where we had to agree to a "wind down" period if it was determined to be unprofitable! They told us it was an agreement with Penske and the deal would fall through if they didn't sign it!!  Well lookie look it was actually a contract  that gm can enforce!! They make cedar fair look like angels!!! Can you tell I'm pissed? I will need a new keyboard after I finish literally banging out this rant!!

I NEED BEER LOTS AND LOTS OF BEER AND VODKA!!

This is what happens when a government gets involved with a car manufacturer!!

I hope everyone buys forign cars or fords(they are the only feesable car company)

Gdmfers!!!

Are you local ffejie, want to join me for a few beers Friday night?  I'm a Saturn owner myself, and am pissed GM is dropping them and keeping Chevy.

Looks like Honda and Toyota will be chosen from next, as far as my cars...

GM can kiss my shrinking but still big fat white a**.

I am very sorry to hear that. That is terrible news about Saturn and for its employees. It sounds like how it was handled leaves much to be desired, there was an article on WKYC today. From the way they were built to the way they were sold and beyond Saturn was a unique line that changed the industry for the better.

The experts say the recession is ending but it seems the bad news keeps coming. My thoughts are with all of you guys.

Nobidy really knows how true that statement really is. We did it right and there was absolutely no lip service about it!! what we said we did. this was a rare case where perception was reality!

It all went downhill when GM really got envolved in 2000. Funny thing is that we never let the customers see a difference.

all I can say is that I will never EVER  purchase another gm product again! new or used.

I knew something was up when I started noticing Chevy models re-branded as Saturn's.

I still say the older Saturns were based on Olds designs, but nobody believes me.

But yeah, the worst thing GM ever did was remove the divisions between makes.  When you had to look at logos to tell Chevys from Pontiacs from Oldsmobiles, you lost all the people who wanted something distinctive.

GMC should be pickups and industrial SUVs and vans.  Cadillac should be plush luxury cars.  Buicks should be sensible sedans, Pontiacs should be sporty and overpowered, Oldsmobiles should be overpowered sedans, and Chevys should be reliable entry-level cars.

I will never ever buy a Chevy.  Had GM kept Pontiac, I would have bought one of those.  But there is nothing in the new GM lineup that I want to buy.  I'm going foreign for my next car.  Toyota, Honda, perhaps even Nissan.

Chad you are kind of right. one of the body designers for the sl series was originally from olds. However  all of the structure and mechanics were all unique to Saturn. You will never hear me say this much but the engineers really did a great job with the original Saturns,

Cuddy don't forget about hyundai! We get some newer ones in for used cars and they are very impressive!! And now they have more factories and parts depots in the Us, so it is a much better organization than it used to be.

Its always sad to see a product discontinued and people put out of work, but the fact that they decided to eliminate a stronger brand like Pontiac earlier over Saturn is beyond me.

Sad that Pensake couldn't move forward, but its no surprise.

Frankly, I always knew that GM was just too big, so the loss of the weaker brand Saturn is really not as big as a loss compared to something like GMC or Buick.

On the Pontiac situation, the 3 most well-known Pontiac cars: the Bonneville, the Firebird/Trans-Am and GTO have all been discontinued, so all the big-name cars Pontiac was known for aren't even available anymore, thus really killing the brand.

Chevy has also screwed around with car names as well like for example, the Cavalier, which turned into the Cobalt and is being discontinued to become the "Cruze" Half the marketing for a car is the familiarity, that's why I'm glad they resurrected the Camaro name.

And if you buy a Toyota or Honda, they are really not all that "foreign" nowadays. My Accord was built in Marysville and has 209,502 miles on it now.

Why would you consider Pontiac a stronger brand? I will do a little research but , Saturn sold more cars in 2008 than Buick, gmc and cadillac combined in the US.. .saturn did that with an aging line-up and less than 1/4 of the dealers. Saturn has a 55%  service customer retention level once a guest goes out of warranty. The national all car average is around 35%. Before you ask, the reason saturn was shot down was that it was comperting hard with what Gm already has. It was designed to be an import fighter but turned out to take business from gm because there was no way that gm can compete with the foreign(more american than gm)brands. Don't forget that most pontiac dealers "piggybacked" another franchise and saturn until the last couple years had to be stand alone.

oh by the way in 2008 we had the highest rate of returning customers to purchase a new car, even over the so-called imports.

Gm is a huge neuse around the neck of america! they have no vision or any care for what the american buyer wants. The have the mentality of" They are going to have to buy what we sell. what else are they going to do". Kind of sounds like " they have to eat" dosn't it?

Didn't it seem funny that within 10 minutes of the penske anouncement that GM had a press release ready to go about the demise of saturn ? Kind of like the construction permits removing Geauga Lake's rides 2 months before a decision had been made. hmmmmmmmmmmmm

And before you ask , Penske had already supplied blackberrys, laptops, and business cards to the execs and the president of Saturn had retired 2 days prior to take the position for penske. This really did fall through at the last minute literally. How did gm have the time to come up with a formal statement closing saturn in like 15 minutes?
