That is true, and there is no secret announcement to the contrary.
The only surprise announcement about Geauga Lake from Cedar Fair anytime soon will probably be where the Carousel is moving (Worlds of Fun? Michigan's Adventure? Kept in Ohio? (unlikely, but would be a good move)).
The bigger surprise is on Cedar Fair -- people are still interested. I suspect they hoped the story would die with 2007, but here it is 2009 and there is still keen interest in what is going to happen with the land and the Big Dipper.
Geauga Lake Park as it existed in 2007 is not coming back. But as long as they are there, we can still hope that the Big Dipper, Ballroom and some other aspects of the park's history will be preserved on site.
