Mr. Woosman took time out of his day to show up to the event. That was a very good gesture ?on his part. ?Why would he even think of coming if he or the owner didn't care?

Think about that quote. I know everyone in that room wants to see Dipper entertain people again. Mr. Woonam didn't hide from anyone, everyone that cared let people know who they were. Remember this, there was one group that was not represented or hid in the crowd without letting anyone know who they were, that group would be Cedar Fair.

It looks like the Chagrin Valley Times (sister paper of the Solon Times and the West Geauga Times) will have an interesting article about last Saturday's town hall meeting in their print edition today, here is what they have been running on their news ticker:

http://www.chagrinvalleytimes.com/24.html
"NEWS Roller-coaster enthusiasts are gaining momentum to save the historic Big Dipper at the former Geauga Lake Park in Bainbridge. Read about it this week's Times "

If the Big Dipper is saved, the coaster enthusiasts, GLT members & lurkers, and the general public will not deserve the credit -- that will go to whoever makes saving the Dipper a reality. But whoever plays a part in that (including Cedar Fair), will be applauded and supported by all of those groups.

I think the continued interest in this issue shows that even if it is not constantly in the news, a lot of people have fond memories of Geauga Lake and would like to see the Big Dipper saved. Its final fate will get a lot of attention.

I really hope we can get something going here and keep the dipper where it belongs.  The park should have never closed.
