· Quote

I saw this over at Pointbuzz. I guess someone over at Themeparkreview took some great ariel shots of CP.

http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49788

There looks to be contruction on MF Island? I could maybe see them taking out CCMR or SRF and heading a coaster onto MF island.

Just a thought. It will probably be something for 2010. Isn't that Kinzel's last year? They will probaby try to make something big that year especially since we have pretty much got nothing for 2 years.

Hopefully the Dick doesn't make it through this year.

CCMR will be gone just like Kinzel will be before whatever they are doing is made public.

I am glad I am taking time off from going to CP as I rally wont be missing anything except maybe the new Pagoda cam, LOL.

And I also feel so sorry for the CP fanboys that expect a new ride every year. I sense a huge drop in attendance this year.

Well, I'm actually kind of glad nothing new is coming this year. Improvement to the park itself is always good.

Did you guys hear about the new fountain coming this year? It's nothing exciting but they are replacing the fountain on the main midway with one of those huge fountains that people can run through.

It is probably the fountain that was at GL's Kidzworks. Isnt it great how CF can reuse old stuff and call it new again? And I thought GL wasn't worth going to because it didn't have anything worthwhile, what do I know.

Aw come on CoasterDad....GL was worth nothing to Cedar Fair, we all knew that. They just got a lot of really nice RELIABLE! coasters for dirt cheap, so they didn't have to pay full retail for it!

At least GL will live on in certain rides, even though 98% of the people don't even know they are used rides and are from another park.

You could be right Coasterdad about the fountain. CF even moved some of the light fixtures from GL to Planet Snoopy.

^^That's why people need you to educate them Katie Wink

But I wasn't aware that Mind Eraser was reliable.  From what I've been hearing, it is having problems running consistently at Carowinds.

Coasterdad, I'd still be a CP fanboy if I'd been at the park (or any park) in the last 6 years.  Thank God I'm out of that ugly phase.

But then again, since Dick Kinzel didn't run off with my wife, kill my dog or run my truck off the road, I'm not going to wish death on the guy, like Doubleloop has.  Man, your life must suck to wish death on a guy.

I don't think doubleloop is wishing death on Kinzel, just the end of his career.  Razz

Cuddy, there were no mentions of death wishes here until you brought that up. Many people think it is time for Mr. Kinzel to move on to another job or retirement, including a number of large Cedar Fair unitholders. That is all that doubleloop meant here.

i have a queston about cp.
when i was a kid, im talking in the  80"s there was a water ride i think it was a flume ride.
it was at the front of the park on the left hand side as u were coming in the enterence.
but then as i got older, i remember there was a flume ride   at the back of the park.i think they tore it down to make room for the maverick.
but my question is. where they  both the same ride and just moved  from one spot to  the other.
i was just wondering if anyone can help me out on this. my mind is leaving me i think.. but i  really  cant remember if both water rides where there at the same time. or are they  the  same ride.
can anyone help refrsh my memory?

They were two different flumes, Mill Race (1963-1993) was removed for Raptor. White water landing replaced another flume Shoot the Rapids in 1982 I believe, and last to 2005 when it was removed for the over hyped maverick.
