So does anyone think Wedge might be on his way out? It seems like his Clevalnd Indians teams have either woefully underperformed (2006, 2008, 2009) or collapsed on the verge of going to the next level (missing playoffs that seemed a sure shot a week before the end of the season in 2005, blowing a 3 games to 1 lead in 2007 ALCS).

I think time is short for mr Wedge. I will miss his twitches and variable facial hair situations. He needed to go a couple years ago but the indians showed some trust in him and that does say a lot about the indians as a business. There in=s not a lot of that in business today. I am a huge indians fan and really would love for them to have a great season. They are not out of the division yet and they have some very very good players in Choo, Lee,Martinez, sizemore, apple strudle (Cabererra),and some good young guys coming through the farm system. I really want to see Brantley, mills, and that catcher Carlos Santana. I am an eternal optimist for the tribe!! They will win the world series this year and the Brownies are going to the super bowl.( I'm going to be right one of these years!!

^I'm surprised you didn't mention that the Cavs would win an NBA Championship next year, pretty much after choking this year.

I don't think Wedge is the problem, but more so Shapiro is.

But then again, there are those that have given up on the season already by saying things like: "I think Wedge is on his way out" and have also mentioned trading Lee, Sizemore, Martinez and others for "prospects".

Heck, my co-worker gave up on the Tribe after the second Spring Training game.  His exact quote: "Tribe doesn't look too good this year."  I don't know how you can judge a team after two preseason games, even though not everyone has played yet.  Then again, he's one of those that are brainwashed into worshiping and praying to LeBron.

My brother-in-law gave up on the Tribe 2 years ago, right before they made their march to another Central Division Title and nearly a World Series appearance.

I'm not a huge basketball fan and would much rather rave an indians or browns championship!!!I would even take a fusion or gladiators championship.

The problem with all sports teams is the scapegoat is always the head coach or manager.  In some cases it is justified (Romeo Crennel) Romeo had no control over his team.  Not sure what firing Eric Wedge in the middle of the year will do?  He still has a year left on his contract and the penny pinchers that are the owners might not want to pay him for not managing the team.

3,2,1, GONE!!!! I guess they are getting rid of the entire coaching staff to!! I dunno I really like carl Willis. He had 2 cy young winners in the last 3 years. I would hate to see Mr. Willis have to leave and Shapiro still having a job!!
I wish Wedgie well.

Bring on TONY PENA !!!!!

I wish Wedge well too.  There was an interview on Trivossonno about a month ago or so where Triv interviewed Dolan.  Dolan pretty much solidified Shapiro being back, but Wedge not so much.  Wedge seemed to have the respect of his players, as does Mike Brown.  Romeo didn't.

If anyone listened to the games tonight, the crowd sounded hot in the nightcap, obviously the last home game of the year.  In a 1-0 complete game loss, Masterson struck out 11 or 12.

I kinda like some of the young kids. That carrasco kid hit 101 on the gun in his last start. I really think it will be a quick turn-around.  I also like the DA move for the browns. He may not be the greatest but better than Brady Queen in my opinion.
