Even though it was my first time there, I enjoyed it. Got to ride the rocket car and had some frozen whip. Very Happy Looking forward to next year.

Came down Suncay and had a great time.  Did not know any one there, but foand had und a one time employee of Euclid Beach. Had a great time talking to him.  He told me many hiden stores about the park.  We talked for about a good half hour or more.  Last year they had one of these for Purtias Springs Park, which was on the west side of Cleveland.  I would have loved to go to that one,  but forgot about it.  I do have pictures of that to share when I come to another met up on Geauga Lake.  Thanks to this group for letting Geauga Lake live in our memories.

Bob!! You probably almost ran a few of us over when you were parking!  If you saw people in the parking lot waving everyone around that would have been thewave, doubleloop and myself. I'm glad you had fun!!

Great event.

My only thought on improving it would be to give the tour guides small megaphones. They had some really interesting information but even the ones who were relatively loud-spoken were hard to hear at the back of the crowd (which skews older to begin with, meaning there are probably a few attendees with hearing problems).

Hope we are that energetic and active in 40 years!

I am sorry I missed the event! I was not feeling well. I had a bad reaction to some medicine that a doctor prescribed to me so I was not myself! The medicine helped my original problem, but I gained other problems. Today is the first day in a couple of days I have been feeling more like myself! I am looking forward to the meet up!

It really was a great time. It was so much fun working with Elva and meeting a lot of the Euclid Beach "Nuts". We saw some Geauga Lake friends   (sorry we missed you, geuagabob 3) and met some new ones! Hope to see all of you at the get-together. A speedy recovery to you, dsloban!
Everyone - plan on being at Euclid Beach Park next September. Very Happy

They already have some good pictures up of the 2009 event, attendance was up over 10% despite the rain early in the day. Once again, Euclid Beach Now really knows how to run one great event.

Nostalgia has great appeal, I hope someone realizes the unique potential that the Geauga Lake property has.

The event was well attended and its great to see how much people still care about their old park. The one thing GL still has is a working coaster, I could not even imagine the turnout if EB still had a working coaster.

If only someone would realize the potential on that property in Aurora.

I kinow this is early, but next years event is already scheduled for 2010. It is the 26th of September. 2010 is also the 100th anniversary of their carousel.  We had sooo much fun on the 27th!! I hope we all still have the enthusiasm 2047!! Hopefully we can have our events at Geauga Lake and have free rides on Big Dipper!!I still have hope.

I am glad to hear that the Euclid Beach Nuts have a date set already for next year.  I would love to see GL rebuild with the Dipper and Raging Wolf Bobs running again.  It would also be nice to see the Racer and Thriller rebuilt on GL property.  Nice dream.

Unfortunately Wold Bobs is way too far gone to be saved at this point, although i am not sure why anyone would want to save it.

Since we are dreaming, in addition to Dipper, Euclid Beach's Racer, Thriller, Flying Turns, and Idoras Wildcat would be a sight to see along Aurora road.
