Anyone want to help them o · Quote Hello everyone! At the big Dipper meeting we gat the chance to meet some people from the Euclid beach Club. They came out and supported us in many ways! They will be hosting their annual remember the park day on September 27th at euclid beach state park. They had asked if we would like to help them out this year with the event. This is a very good way to get together with other park enthusiasts as well as ourselves!! I know it is early but I thought I would get it out there early so we can plan for it. They will start setting up at around 8am and clean up around 5 in the afternoon. The help could be used in set-up , moving the carrousel horses around , working crowd control, just about anything you can think. Lunch will be provided and a thank-you patch will be given. This is a really fun event that a bunch of us went to last year. I think our relationship between the two parks can help everyone involved. I can't tell you how great it is to talk to people that have went through what we are right now, just 40 years ago. They are great people that loved our park as well as theirs. I will keep adding to this when the details are finalized. Any questions please ask and I will get the answers. If you would like to know just let me know and I will compile a list of fun-havers! The "Euclid Beach Now" (former "Euclid Beach Nuts") were among the most enthusiastic supporters of the Big Dipper meeting on April 25, they started publicizing it immediately and many of their members attended. They had some very helpful suggestions about the meeting and ideas for the future as well. The "Euclid Beach Boys" own the rocket cars and Thriller car and very generously allowed some of their Geauga Lake memorabilia to be displayed. They are also very interested in future Geauga Lake events. From all reports it was a great event last September at Euclid Beach, hopefully some people from here are able to attend and/or help out.

I am really looking forward to it. Mabe we could do events together to help our cause with the dipper!!  Plus it gives us a chance to get together as a group again!! There shouldn't be too much work involved, just alot of talking to new friends that went through what we are  going through now. I think it would be fun to get together with other previously loved parks fans/ groups.

In the story they say that they can have the 1909 carousel back up at their park within 2 years!! Elva  was at our event for the dipper and she is one of our biggest supporters. I know there has been a delay with getting their Carousel in place, but they really pulled off something remarkable by buying it when the park where it was at closed and bringing it back to Ohio.

What great stories and information for us!!  Everyone had a great time talking to her. If anyone has any questions as to helping on the 27th please pm me and we can get it all set up. I think a good relationship between our group and theirs can help the entire park community. They have good contacts and knowlege to help us with the Dipper and we can help them keep their park alive. I know even though I am 35 Euclid beach has a place in my heart. So, If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!!

Euclid Beach is legendary in the Cleveland area. It will be pretty cool to see it back if just for one day, and the Euclid Beach Now members are huge supporters of all things Geauga lake. So if you can make it out, or even spend a few hours volunteering, it will be well worth it.

Can't wait to see everyone! If you are planning to come and have some fun and haven't sent me your contact info or confermation yet pleas let me know by the end of the week because they need a head count for badges, food and who is going to be where. We will be starting at around 8am and get to meet everyone and start setting up.( If you can't show up that early that's fine, just when we are starting) If you could, please wear a euclid beach shirt or a green or blue shirt. I think how long it lasts depends on how many people are there. It is a great oppertunity to meet some great people and have some fun. I had a blast last year!!
