Alright, so as we all know there was some major clearing over on Millennium island. I'm thinking SRF will be coming down since the island is somewhat facing that and they could have a ride extend over there. I think by the time Halloweekends comes they might start to tear down SRF if it is coming out. Let's hope this will be a new water ride or water coaster. It probably won't be a coaster.
Also, from CP's Facebook page:
"Want the head's up on 2010? Stay tuned...somethin's brewin'!"
Also, anyone else have the feeling Jeff knows what it is? Something tells me he does for some reason by his posts over on Pointbuzz. _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

Jeff is as clueless as everybody else. SRF is going nowhere, CCMR might be gone before the snow melts though. Or maybe they are just clearing those trees because they have a rare disease, I do know which one is the truth.
Also, keep this mind, CF is in debt to the point where they cant afford to pay for employees let alone a new ride. If they don't dig themselves out they will be filing chapter 11, that you can be sure on. |

I think if they were worried about filing for chapter 11 they wouldn't be building all of these new hyper coasters at the paramount parks. _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

They aren't just building coasters, they're building what are considered the most expensive coasters out there. Most B&M's are at least $20-$25 million or more.
That Intamin giga for Kings Dominion isn't cheap either. How much was Millennium Force nine years ago? _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

I think MF was 25 million.
It would suck if they took out a coaster that families with smaller kids can enjoy to replace it with an enthusiast coaster. They need to build a coaster once without concentrating on a record breaker.
My two opinions, ones a long shot, the other is sarcasm...see if you can pick out which each is:
Intamin is known for good wooden coasters, but in that spirit, they will be replacing all those splintering park benches to give you a more comfortable seating around the park.
Big Dipper is being moved to Cedar Point. _________________ I don't like a certain company so everything they do MUST be wrong, even if it's right. And that makes me look like a bigger fool.

Wouldn't that be a twist if the Dipper was coming to Cedar Point! I don't know what is going in, but I hope they don't remove anything for it! _________________ Life is like a rollercoaster. It is full of ups and downs! |

Cedar Point never buys used coasters. Maybe they will make an exception for dipper. I say that dipper to point highly unlikely, unless cedar point changed their policy for coasters. I doubt that point will get Ohio's oldest roller coaster and the 84 year old dipper. _________________ 2007- Skyscraper Triangle crew 5/18/07-5/28/07

The mine ride was my first coaster and its a ride i went on every time i go to Cedar Point(which has not been in over 5 years). Its a great family ride and taking it out would be a prime example of why i don't go to that park.
I understand the decision if they go with it, but this just further moves me from wanting to take my kids there. Kennywood last week, next year, we'll go back and maybe try the erie park and conneaut if its pack up to full speed.
I do still plan on making it to Kings Island eventually as i've never been there and want to at least experience it one. The closest i came was when the Brady Bunch visited, but i have a feeling its a tad different now. _________________ Sea World Operations back in da day |

Sorry Parker...anyone that uses Twitter for info is a twit.
CCMR is up there with Blue Streak (best woodie in the park). Both are good family, warming up, type of rides. You get rid of those, and I'll extend the middle finger, not just to Cedar Point, but to every amusement/theme park world wide. And you'll definitely have to pay ALL of my expenses to visit the park (yes that means eating IN the park). _________________ I don't like a certain company so everything they do MUST be wrong, even if it's right. Cedar Point: going down hill fast do to Dick Kinzel and the board of directors. I remember the Point has a familey park before Kinzel. |
