A Country Fair? Those are disugsting in my opinion. Bad, expensive food, sticky, nasty rides and BORING. Those carnies creap me out too!!
Why you would go there over CP is something so beyond me. |
And you wouldn't consider the food at CP to be expensive too? |

To each his own. I love country fairs. I love going to see the animals (of course old Parker will say they are dirty, stinky and smell, but hey he would know!). I love seeing the exhibits of quilts, jellies, and 4-H stuff. And nothing can beat the demolition derby.
I have gone to this fair for years and never have had any "crappy carnie food" It tastes the same whether you get it at some outpriced amusement park or at a local fair. And the carnies I've met are some of the nicest people you'd ever meet.
Parker have you ever been to the Portage County Fair? Probably not since you don't even live in Ohio. So don't be quick to make assumptions about somewhere you have never been.
OH btw, I HAVE been to Cedar Point before.....I don't care to go back. It has nasty crappy carnie food and the ride operators really creep me out. |

^If we're talking fairs now...I've been to the Lucas County Fair once, the Maple Festival in Chardon once. Fairs just aren't my thang. Though I did know a few people personally that participated in the demolition derby. _________________ I don't like a certain company so everything they do MUST be wrong, even if it's right. I just wanted to say I wasn't knocking ride ops......it was a sarcastic response to Parker's comment. My apologies if I offended anyone. |

Hmmm... According to the TTD cam, CP is using the overflow lot AGAIN. Who says CP isn't doing well this month??
Oh and wait, isn't CP supposed to be dead on Wednesday's?? Not today!
Remember, Jeff Gordan will be at CP tommorow! _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

Using the overflow lot does not equate to increased attendance, just more vehicles. Many summer camps are closing this week and have shown up in the park. |

^ That's not really a valid statement KK, more cars generally do mean more guests especially with a resort area like The Point.
It's not like they have an abundance of cars only carrying 1 or 2 people in them, plus, don't forget that there are other motels to stay at off the Peninsula where people are being shuttled back and forth from which allow them to save on parking and take advantage of the Motel's services. (The Motels get a kick-back as well)
Also, from an in-park foot traffic pattern standpoint, the queue designs in the last 10 years have greatly improved to hold more people and keep them off the midways where they block the flow of patrons. |
