So, what did happen to it? I think I got one or two e-mails since I signed up for it a couple years ago. I think it's a great tool that is seriously not being used to its potential.
I'm on Kennywood's and Kings Island's e-mail list and periodically get e-mails regarding upcoming specials and events at those parks.
If they were to combine "In The Loop" with season passes it could be a good deal. Everyone who purchases a season pass is automatically signed up for "In The Loop". Instead of just having news from the park, offer discounted coupons online where passholders can print them. For example:
Monthly Special For July: Get $3.00 off at Beachcombers for any meal totaling over $15.00. Must present coupon and season pass at time of sale.
Monthly Special For August: Take $2.00 off any item at the Emporium or Wildwater Surf Shop. Must present coupon and season pass at time of sale.
Maybe even have a contest to win tickets so that passholders can bring family and friends (thus help increase attendance and revenue)
I don't know. Maybe my idea seems ridiculous but since GL will never have any sort of special "Joe Cool Club" I think it would be a way to have the park keep in touch with its passholders in a way that may make their experience seem a bit more personal. |

That would make a lot of sense. Even Cedar Point does not use that as often. |

Exactly. Bill just email coasterdad. ha. I know these may be insignificant observations but In The Loop has the new logo. The top is proudly displaying waterparkness (we get that they are proud of the waterpark). Dominator is shown (i hope this is a sign). Also, I just want to add that I hope we see Nick characters in the parks eventually since they are removing them from the logos. |
