Ok, last night when I was leaving work at my swim club, a boy who is a regular at the club and who I know jokingly threw a Gatorade bottle at my car and damaged the light on my car. I'm thinking I need to call his parents and inform them on what happened. They should pay for it right?
I'm just mad at myself, because when it happened I should have ran inside and told the parents what happened then and there. Now since I didn't I should probably call the parents and inform them.
Is this right? _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

Go to CB or PB and see what they tell you there. I am sure Jeff will personally call you and give you his advice. _________________ GL's demise was caused by one mans foolish greed.

Oh Coasterdad! LOL!
Seriously, looks like you'll first have to talk to the kid and say "hey man... that bottle you threw last night broke my light... I'll need you to get it fixed for me".
Depending on which light it was, (taillight or headlight) you may be pulled over for it.
Where did it hit, and what kind of car do you have? You may also want to take a picture or two of it just in case. |

Oh, he knew he broke it. I will have to call his parents.
It was a headlight at the back of my car and there was no dent but it broke the light cover.
I have an Envoy. _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

Why don't you ask your parents? Why bother with a bunch of people who don't think CP is the best park on the planet? |

Why do you have to go to his parents? How old is he, 15? If I were you, I'd go up to him and tell him that he broke my light and that he needs to pay for it. Does the taillight still work? If that's the case, then I would just tape the broken light cover up until you get a new one. They aren't that expensive to replace. |

Ummm, no, he's like 12 maybe?
He knows he broke it. I just need to inform his parents. Yes, the taillight still works.
Eh, I don't really want to tape that. That would look pretty bad. We'll get it fixed soon, whether his folks pay for it or not. _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

As your father Parker, You can't go tell a poor child's parents that their kid broke a light on you imaginary vehicle. Anyway if a kid did break a light on your aveo, it would have to be totaled. The damage/value quotient would justify the junking of your car. I talked to Jeff and he said he would let you borrow his pacer until you find a new car.
Son, is this the same boy that gave you the mega-wedgie a couple weeks ago? |

A GMC Envoy? Those get like 8 MPG City. You could trade that thing into Cash for Clunkers and get yourself a nice new Civic. |

What are you talking about? A GMC Envoy is a very nice car.
Aww, and looks like ffejie aka coasterboysdaddy is jealous I have a car and he doesn't. He probably drives around some rust bucket with no insurance.
Kind of sad he has 2 accounts and one pretending to be my father. How immature and creepy. _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

You might want to try again Parker, but I'm not going into that again. You make me laugh with your assumptions. I thought an envoy was a truck, not a car. Btw, How many accounts have you had here? I seem to recall you pretending to be a girl!
back on track here. Are you afraid that little boy is going to beat you up. That has to be the only reason you haven't told his parents about your aveo. |

Those Envoy's are nice, big roomy vehicles. How many miles do you have on yours?
My Accord is up to 209,230 |

You have no idea how much I know about cars son! Envoy is a mid-sized suv that stupid people buy insted of trail blazers. Lets put a gmc lable on a trail blazer and add 4000 dollars to the price. The only reason you think it is a car is because I put an envoy emblem on an aveo for you son. I hate to tell you , but it is an aveo. |
