I went to WWK for the first time today since GL closed.  The extra large parking lot sure gives the impression that nobody is there, but that certainly wasn't the case.  We waited in the driveway for a good 10 minutes til we inched up to the parking gate.  The park was what I would consider packed.   Every slide had a line, the line for the Liquid Lightning was at least 15-20 minutes long.  The wave pool was so crowded it was almost too crowded for enjoyment.  There were a ton of lifegaurds.  And they were very observent and doing a GOOD job.   My only complaint was the salty taste of the water in the wave pool.

The intertesting thing was waiting in line for liquid lightning on the stairs gives a good view of the ride side.  Everyone infront and behind me in line were talking about their memories of the ride side and Sea World.  Some kids were very upset to see it like it is now.  It just gives me more proof that if they just sold the ride side to another park owner it would have survived.

All in all, I definitely see WWK surviving another year if not longer.  I would assume that most customers were from the Cleveland/Geauga area.  I doubt many people traveled too far to get there.   But it was enough to keep her going.  If they ever expand, it would do nothing but good.

Nice to hear that the water park was busy, at least CF should be happy about that. If they are indeed serious about keeping this water park going they better start expanding it. they have all that wasted land on the other side of Tidal Wave Bay and the old Happy Harbor area to work with.

They still have a long way to go to make WWK more like Boomerang Bay at KI. Now that's what I call a decent water park.

If WWK is to last it MUST receive new attractions. Lets see it really live up to its name as "NE Ohio's premier waterpark".

I know if several locations they can get some great used waterpark attractions...hint hint.
