Since pointless drivel seems to be popping up by the day, I thought I'd add some of my own.
My wife and I spent this past weekend in Chicago and had a blast. It was actually nice to take a trip that didn't involve amusement parks for once, and to be honest, I had a better time hanging out in Chicago than I did at Cedar Point.
"For anyone interested", you can click here to check out an awful lot of pictures of buildings and boats and yes, even a Ferris Wheel which I did not ride.
Hey, this is the Anything Goes forum, right? _________________ http://rayp.smugmug.com |

I went to Chicago back in June. It was fun, but not as good at CP that's for sure. We stayed at the Marriott and went to Navy Pier too. OK place. _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

Ray, I am sooooooooooooooo jealous!!! You seen everything I would love to see in Chicago. John Hancock Center, Sears/Willis Tower, Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, 2 Prudential, the new Trump Tower.
When I go to Great America I am always in awe of the Chicago skyline, being the skyscraper freak that I am. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

GM,
The tour guide on our boat talked so fast that I really didn't catch some of the building names. Is the clocktower building the Wrigley Building? And which one was 2 Prudential?
If you ever get back to Great America and are able to spend a little time in downtown Chicago, get to Navy Pier and sign up for one of the "Architectural Cruises". It lasts about an hour and gives you some of the best views of skyscrapers you're likely to see. I told my wife that the boat tour was probably the highlight of the trip for me.
As Skyglider said, it's a great town. _________________ http://rayp.smugmug.com |

Yes, the white building with the clock tower is the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower is the gothic looking tower across from it.
The corncob buildings with the parking below it is Marina City.
This is 2 Prudential - the tall building with the pointy roof you took a close up of from Big John in the link below.

The green glass building from the river cruise is the 333 Wacker Building - link below
