I love the Peanuts! But I am also 39! I wonder if they will get ride of coke products in those parks! Ihope not, because I am a coke drinker! It would be nice if they would put both Coke and Pepsi in the parks! _________________ Life is like a rollercoaster. It is full of ups and downs! |

You guys are being a bit harsh. Like I said before, this change may have gone way beyond something as simple as renewing the Nick license.
With Snoopy, it's all about marketing and branding. Not only will the rides portray the Characters, but the interactive stores and shows will familiarize the kids as well. There will be a few tears here and there, but the transition should go pretty smooth.
Don't underestimate kids, they know more than you think.
And I'll say it again... 99% of the kids are there for the rides, no matter who is painted on the side of the cars. |

The KI fans seem to be more upset over the loss of Scooby Doo than the Nick characters. After all Scooby has been a part of Kings Island since the day the park opened.
Cotton candy, from my recollection there are no Invader Zim characters in Nick U. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

my kids love scooby, but have no idea who snoopy is, other then having seen him at cedar point and geauga lake |

I still say they should have went with the “KidWorks” theme for the new children’s areas. The universally identifiable characters would be perfect for these parks where character familiarity is a long-standing tradition. Just think of the millions of smiles each summer as children come to visit and meet for the very first time Whatshisname™ or Whoozits™. Guests will stand in line for hours to meet these characters and in turn, the parks could spin off other great events such as Breakfast with Kid In The Blue Shirt™, or Dinner with Required Ethnic Minority Kid™. The larger parks could introduce ice skating shows starring the whole KidWorks gang. My aforementioned dark ride would be a great way to re-theme the various Scooby’s Haunted Castles. Autograph sessions would spur the sales of official KidWorks Autograph Books and other licensed merchandise. There’s so much the creative geniuses at Cedar Fair could do with this time-honored line of characters. I mean honestly, kids today probably know more about the KidWorks Kids than they do the Peanuts characters. Cedar Fair, you’re sitting on a gold mine. _________________ http://rayp.smugmug.com |

Character Carousel? That's even worse than Invertigo, Flight Deck, and Drop Tower! Why can't it be PEANUTS™ Carousel? |
