My kids earned free tickets to CP for selling chocolate, so they deserved to go. We bought additional tickets off the CP website for $29.99 + 3.00 processing fee (that price only good this week). It was still a better price than AAA.
I have to admit we had a great day. I hate CF for what happened with GL, and the last two times I went to CP were bad experiences; but today made me feel that things may be turning around for the better.
The landscaping was beautiful. Amazing flowers everywhere. Not better than BGE, but still great. All the rides were up and running. I waited 30min for MF. Everything else I rode was 20min or less. The shorter lines also made it a much nicer experience. Did not go on Maverick because it still had a long line. Magnum is still a great ride and MF in the dark was amazing.
The food is still overpriced, but I enjoyed what I ate. We ate at Chick-fil-A and Midway Market. The chicken sandwich was good. The buffet was just ok, but the waitress made it enjoyable and it was all you can eat.
Most employees were actually excellent this time. A great group of people. The ONLY exception was the ride ops on MF, Magnum and Gemini. The one talking at each ride was just terrible. I mean just tell people how to get on the ride and quit acting like a comedian. The woman at MF was the worst. I mean we are putting our lives in her hands and she kept making noises that a Mad TV character makes. Honestly, why they would let her speak is beyond me. Plus their voices were so loud, you could barely think. Other than the three of them, great employees this season.
Lastly, the Starlight Experience was way better than I thought it would be. I didn't think the lights would be on since they closed at 9pm, but they had the floats out, the fake snow blowing and all lights working. It actually was a nice finish to the day. I was impressed with it, as much as I wanted to hate it, lol.
I will never forget GL or what happened, but it was nice to spend a day with my old friend CP.
Oh, BGE is still the best park. And KW was still more fun. |

I'm glad you had a good time. I felt the same way when I saw the starlight experiance. It is calming after a hectic day. |
