It was said that all the old Haunt stuff went to Valleyfair when they decided to resurrect their Valleyscare in 2006. More than likely the Grave Keeper was sent there.
It was definitely the best prop Six Flags ever put in for Fright Fest and its location at the main gate was the best place for it, not in the back where CF placed it. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

Not really... How many slides on the WWK commercial are at WWK? So how many costumes on the CP commercial are actually at CP? |

CF uses stock footage taken at any one of their parks to make a TV ad. Any way they can save money they will. |

Some of my best memories of GL are from working as the chainsaw guy during the 6 flags era on the haunted trail. There is little more fun than running down a crowded midway chasing people with a chainsaw while wearing flannel and a hockey mask.
When I was at the park in 05 for the last haunt that place was packed every night like it always had been. Watching the halloween props get packed away and shipped out during the off season was like watching the beginning of the end for the park. Everyone there lamented as to how dumb it was to discontinue the haunt. _________________ Former GLPD and 10 year employee of GL |

I think you might have been the reason my kids loved going so much.
I also remember how PACKED SFWoA and GL were during the Halloween events. I also remember the announcement (I wish I could find it) that GL would no longer have those events and then PR person Lexi Robinson stating that it was because CP was loosing attendance because of it, conspiracy theory my a$$! _________________ GL's demise was caused by one mans foolish greed.

Man I really have lots of things about Fright fest/Haunt at GL during those final years it was an event i look foreward to.
Yes during the SF years a chainsaw guy hung out by a couple of junk cars in the midway to Brutal Planet (maybe that was Defcon!) my friend and i loved to see that guy and reved the chainsaw at us we laughed. Another chainsaw guy hung out at another haunted house which was the Golden Nugget arcade my father took a picture of me with that guy.
The haunt was still even more fun packed with ghouls and people alike the haunted houses though the haunted attractions names where changed they were the same format as Sf well almost "BIG TOP TERROR" was a different attraction than previous haunted house there. always had a line and fright zone was packed with "Fearseekers"
Im glad i have many pictures and videos from the haunt i watch the my home video of me at the haunt many times. Brings back tons of memories. _________________ well my favorite summer hangout is gone for 2 years now. but i stil like to go to parks like cedar point though the corporate idiot running it closed GL |

Well I know it's not the same as HallowSCREAM or the Haunt but I Did get my start building Nightmares Haunted House durring HallowSCREAM , and Brutal Planet later on. Stop out and give us a try, we use alot of the same ideas and concepts the old Geauga Lake used. defcon62 send me a PM if you want to throw that chainsaw around for a night or two! It will bring back alot of good times. Check us out www.fortressoffear.com |
