What bad timing there... I think Cedar Fair had full-ownership for only 3 weeks when that happened.
I've said this on other coaster-boards: This Public Relations Nightmare needs to be removed once and for all. |

Even if this happened 3 years ago, the case will still get a lot of attention, which is not good for SOB... |

Sonny will be torn down very soon. This trial is pretty much the final nail in its coffin. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

SOB should have been removed a long time ago. I rode it in its second year of operation and it was the MOST painful ride I have ever been on. The first drop was fine but the rest of the ride was pure torture, I don't understand how it was left to operate all those years. I understand that where you sit might have an impact on the ride but how many know that?
The suit alleges that "Cedar Fair and PKI, acted with conscious disregard for the rights and safety of the plaintiff by failing to exercise care in the inspection, maintenance and condition of the Son of Beast". I don't see how they will buy there way out of this one, I guarantee management was told many times how painful the ride was.
Its too bad that CF will be spending so much money on the trial and the subsequent demolition of SOB.......not! _________________ GL's demise was caused by one mans foolish greed.

I'm starting to worry about KI. CF will have to pay for the woman's injuries with money they don't have, which may push them into bankruptcy.
Oh well. I can start going to Holiday World if KI closes. |

Kings Island will not close. That park has probably one of the most strongest ties to Southwest Ohio and has some of the most loyal patrons I've ever seen for a park.
What will more than likely happen is that KI won't be seeing any major additions for awhile which, quite honestly, they don't need with two coaster additions back to back. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

No way KI will ever close. Although it used to be such a wonderful park and groundbreaking park until CF got a hold of it and Kinzelized it.
If you have not watched these videos you should to know the history of Kings Island and Cincinnati's Cony Island.

I think they should have a burn the SOB contest. All contestants get a lighter and all at once and burn that piece of crap to the ground. _________________ GL's demise was caused by one mans foolish greed.

Ffejie, Kinzel admitted that he wanted Kings Island so your thinking is correct. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Never forget it. |

Mean Streak has caused me temporary back pain, resulting in having to take OTC medicine. Think I have a winnable lawsuit?
Same with the pos being ripped down, Raging Wolf Bobs. _________________ I don't like a certain company so everything they do MUST be wrong, even if it's right. And that makes me look like a bigger fool.
Take a stand against coasters that hurt or kill people. Holiday World & Knotts Berry Farm, we are watching you! |

That's what everyone will be saying if the suit is won by the plaintiff's. The implications could be huge and the cost will only be trickled down to us the guests. Imagine not being able to ride your favorite ride unless you sign a waiver, that's what it is coming to folks.
SOB should have been shut down a long time ago as I have always said. MS at CP is a terrible ride but no where as pain inflicting as SOB. I wonder how many times Kinzel rode SOB. We only have one company to thank if it comes down to signing wavers and higher insurance costs - thanks CF! _________________ GL's demise was caused by one mans foolish greed.

I used to defend MS a lot, but my last ride on it was terrible. It was so rough and I was in the front. I wish they would just do some work to it to make it a better coaster. Maybe they could get some new trains or new track? It would be sad to see it make an exit though. It sure is a good looking coaster! _________________ Cedar Point: The BEST amusement park on the planet for 12 years in a row!

I will agree, MS is one heck of a great looking coaster. But all those looks only go so far when the ride sucks. I don't think there is much that can be done short of reprofiling, and that will costs millions.
SF and subsequestly CF sunk over 2 million in retracking RWB. I don't think MS is worth well over 2 million to make a marginally better ride. It needs to be removed to make way for something rideable. _________________ GL's demise was caused by one mans foolish greed.
