This is really the worst news that could have come from the place. 125 years of history down the drain! They bought the place to kill it, I saaid this four years ago - Dick who were you trying to fool??? From what I understand Dick was on hand today at the park. Once he made the announcement he fired all full time employees and had security escort them to their cars - what an ass! Damn you Dick - Damn you Cedar Fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ Greed is what caused GL's demise and that just makes me sick. Lets do what we can to rat out Kinzel - hes a snake. In the end the truth will come out and we will then see whos laughing at who.

Ok, I don't think you understand how businesses operate when they downsize or close a branch. 1. They usually don't fire FULL TIME staff (and you said ALL full time staff were fired. This includes Bill Spehn as well and obviously he wasn't fired). They'll ask if they would like to stay with the company and offer them positions elsewhere until their contract ends. 2. Security is also full time staff and obviously they weren't fired. And they didn't escort us to our cars on the last day either. And I'm upset too. I loved Geauga Lake. That doesn't mean I'm going to hate Cedar Fair for, in my personal opinion, a big mistake. Cedar Point isn't that far away. You can still go there. Next summer, that's where you'll find me. Cedar Fair operates the CLEANEST, FRIENDLIEST, and SAFEST parks in the entire industry. None of you can deny that and those are all reasons to go to other Cedar Fair parks. This isn't scaling down, this isn't even just removing the ride side. This means no relocated rides to the south side with a hope of a new park being rebuilt. This is "exclusively a water park." As horrible as the rumors were, the reality is even worse. Dick Kinzel is Art Modell as far as I'm concerned. He's scum. Over 100 years of history thrown in the trash. Wow. _________________ Always remember Geauga Lake... And never forget what Cedar Fair did.
