The wateraprk in this climate will not survive. Already no new attraction is announced, how does that look? Also, for your information, Dick was going to retire two years ago - and he should have! And if you had any financial interest in the place you wouldn't care about GL either. It is only coasting them money. CF already as the best park in the area that has a target market of the same area GL does but CP is much better and actually is in the black all the time. If you were Dick.. Which you will never be smart enough to be Dick. You would realize that GL had to go.. And saving phase 2 till after they shut down the ride side was the only way to do it. All you need to stop crying because GL sucked, it always has sucks .. And if CF left it open it always would suck. I guess you guys needed to go to GL everyday last summer and maybe it would have made the numbers to survive.. O but you didn’t because you knew the park sucked.. Guess you blew it Get a grip and get over it, GL is gone.. It is a water park now .. It was a good decision by CF .. Suck it up and take it like a man .. The park sucked and now it is gone .. We can't help the fact you didn't like the park, to me, if you don't like the park, then just delet yourself from the forums. Go to Cedar Point spend money, we didn't need your support for GL anyways. We love it, we care about its history, and we had hope for it.  Also it didn't always suck, there was a point in time, which it was extremely booming... but yet declined over time. If your going to bash on th board, you should post elsewhere. I know I'm not the admin, but these are just opinions, respect their opinions man, grow up. _________________ Geauga Lake I will miss you!

First of all recheck because I think you might have missed a few words again (coast vs cost) Second CP sucked too at one time - but I am sure you weren't born yet, oddly enough someone cared and - get this - they added new rides! Guess what happened when they added new rides - people came!! My biggest gripe is that CF did nothing to even try to save GL. Two years in a row they removed rides, which by the way weren't sucky rides, and no one wanted to go - and CF execs could not figure it out????. Then without warning closed it down. Hmmmm - but I guess it takes a business major like yourself to figure out what happened. If you think WWK is going to add anything new you are really dreaming. You would think with what they did they would AT LEAST announce something new for WWK this season. If you think CP is the greatest park ever great, go enjoy your two plus hour waits and crowded midways, I happened to like the slower pace at GL - but I guess 700,000 guests is not making enough money for a greedy SOB. CF has taken on a lot of debt after purchasing the Paramount Parks and this was the park they picked to market thier rides a new rides to different parks and then sell it for profit. Also they havent announced anything new for WWK, but i gaurentee you that they will put sometthing in or it will not sell, i know that, you know that, they know that. You need to realize it was not greed that deminished GL it was its lack of space availability and location. GL peaked when it was Six Flags and has fallen since. And by the way I go to Cedar Point 8-15 times a summer and i have never waited longer than 45 min for any ride. You justt have to know when to go and how to avoid the crowds. Face it CP is a better park. Just stop all your pointless efforts trying to fight a big byssiness like CF .. embrace capitialism and just let them make the right decision.

CF has never closed a park before - until GL CF has never moved big, major rides to other parks before - until GL I'm glad to hear that you seem to be in agreement that CF bought GL just so that they can "export the good rides and sell off the land for profit" I'd like you to try and tell that to all the CP fanboys who totally do not believe that. _________________ On September 21, 2007, a historic 119-year old amusement park had been secretly murdered. Good idea, since there has never, not once, in its entire history, been a bad decision in our wonderful capitalist system. Well, they must not be as smart as you, since Bill Spehn already conceded phase 2 for next year. Unless he is lying to us... which I guess wouldn't be the first time! The odds are completely stacked against building phase 2. They justified removing rides from GL because attendance wasn't high enough. After the attendance hit WWK is going to take next year they are going to justify not building phase 2 by saying that attendance doesn't justify it.

The idea Mr. Horn had in the News-Herald today about liking to see a family sized park with the two rides sounded better than nothing. I urge everybody to contact the trustees or attend the township trustees meeting Monday evening at 7:00. The word "Geauga" is in most posts but you spell it wrong, you're the very definition of "ignorance", and that carries over to your logic about the park.
