^ I made mention of that when they announced the ride.
GL already had purchased the paint and were definatly going to repaint Headspin that Fall during the 07/08 off-season... so since that plan changed, they might might as well use it at Carowinds.
The 2010 rumor for Carowinds really is gaining momentum, so it will be interesting to see how much log-flume-land is actually cleared over there come March when the park opens. (the log flume also has some very close neighbors like a small train and a couple of flats) Most fingers are pointing to a large hyper coaster of some sort, and that wouldn't surprise me one bit as Cedar Fair like putting in large, high capacity rides.
I also don't know what Carowinds annual attendance is, but that park has a longer season than most of the other Cedar Fair parks due to being more southern and having a earlier opening and spring-break hours. so that is a factor on how big and expensive their next ride will be... if attendence can support a ride of hyper-size.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kings Dominion is on the agenda for 2010 or 2011, but Im thinking the latter of the two because of:
A) the economy
B) Dominator in 2008 and
C) There will be other parks in line for major additions by then (CP, Wonderland, ValleyFair, Knotts) |

I feel that the parks that are south will be gainning much more in the next few years! The parks up north have the disadvantage due to the crazy weather! _________________ Life is like a rollercoaster. It is full of ups and downs! |

^ And the fact that Ohio and Michigan are still losing jobs. That plays a major role there. |

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if Cedar Point gets moved to Dubai... _________________ Great Lakes Brewery: Buy beer, buy local!
