· Quote

Conneaut Lake Park trustees rejected all 6 proposals for leasing out all or part of CLP in 2008. The trustees do plan to open Camperland, the boat docks and the Beach Club restaurant.

No word on any plans to open the rides for 2008, so it looks like a second year SBNO. That is a shame, with a Geauga Lake sized hole in the market this would have been the year to do it.

They will be seeking "new proposals for leasing or developing all or part of the park in the near future." One trustee mentioned "several different opportunities for future development." (But in this case, considering it is community owned and the recent events there, redevelopment probably wouldn't be Cedar Fair style clear and burn redevelopment).

The longer CLP stays SBNO, the more likely that place will close forever.  Such a shame, would hate to see another grand old park disappear.

I just hope it doesn't turn into real estate development like GL. I hope they can reopen and save The Blue Streak or sell it to another amusement park.

With another summer  down the tubes, I wonder how many trees have started growing thru the BlueStreak like chippewa.

I wonder if they'll make the proposals public with an explanation as to why they were shot down.
i still might spend a night at Camperland though. It'd be a great night time photo op for CLP pics.

Its too sad to see they can't even lift themselves off the ground to start having a new season or to try and start off new. Nothing can be done. Its too bad.
