lets hear your most bizzare memory from GL or seaworld.
for SW: i remember dissecting sharks for "Camp Sea World"
for GL : this one time i was there during a crazy storm, like a crazy storm. it was nice out then all the sudden boom! there was lightning everywhere and the wind was blowing sideways, there were even rumors of tornadoes in the area. anyways, they took everyone in the park and locked them down. they put us in the gold nugget arcade with like, 400 other people and brought down these big steel doors and locked us in. it was weird. it was way too crowded in there and the lights kept failing. i was like nine years old and i was terrified. |

I was running the muzic express one day, All the guests kept asking me what happened at sea world. I'm like "what are you talking about?" so I take my break at the employee cafe. workers were all walking around whispering. My break ends I rotate over to the tilt-a-whirl. Again people are asking me what happened at sea world. finally my boss comes over, i'm like ok, I am going to ask her. As soon as I go to open my mouth she tells me if anyone asks about sea world I know nothing, then just walks away. I worked a 12 hour day before I finally learned about the boat show accident and the boat launching up into the stands. What is funny about it though Sea World was seperate from geauga lake at that time. All the head honchos upon learning about the sea world accident ordered all Managers to keep workers quiet about it. ( I know because I married my Manager) Could they have wanted to keep their future purchase on the up and up?
One day in Rainbow island I was running the small boat ride. the one that had 5-6 boats in a cement pool that rode in a circle. I was helping kids in and out. well my knees were the exact level as the top of the pool. while helping a fat kid out of a boat my knees buckles against the cement I went head first the fat kid went backwards butt first both of us went for a swim. All the parents around the ride all the kids in the ride were laughing and taking pictures and clapping. The fat kid and I took a bow and quickly parted like nothing ever happened. Do you believe I got written up for that!!!! _________________ Remember......Fan Boys and Haters are always good for one thing. A one sided argument. Which are you? |

Ok, I don't think I have anything like that to top my stories, I do have a few things I thought were weird/funny. Well there was this one time I went to Geauga Lake with my moms friend and they wanted to do the wet things at Geauga Lake so we went to the wave pool (the huge one next to the lake were kidszone kidworks would currently be sitting) and I was wading in the water and forgot they had the waves going also mind you it was a pretty busy day. Anyways when the big wave came crashing in I was preoccupied by just swiming around and got caught in the wave (under the water) and starting choking on the water (just a little, not like drowning though) and I just remember being pushed by the wave to the shallow end and hitting softly a small wall in the back... It was just funny because you know its a wave pool, but you sometimes forgot about the wave your having so much fun.
The other memory was with the same person a few years later or so when we made another trip out to Geauga Lake, we were playing in Hooks Lagoon and the only thing I knew is that trying to get up the structure I found this part I could just not get any further, I just kept falling and ending rolling down the stairs on my butt and then before I knew it there came the bucket splashing right on me right after I fell down the stairs, I couldn't stop laughing at myself. Good times! _________________ Geauga Lake I will miss you! |

| For Sea World I remember when I worked there, we had a wedding catered in Luau Terrace and the bride and groom got drunk and started giving us staffers free drinks, the only bad thing i wasn't 21 and got in trouble for it. |

The weirdest thing that happedned to me was that while in line at Power City Pizza, I began to feel faint. The nex thing I knew, I had landed in that flowerpot near the ordering counter! _________________ First coaster of 2008: Space Mountain Omega

Once on the monorail, my dad's baseball cap blew off, and a guy in the car behind us caught it. It was rather funny. _________________ Always remember Geauga Lake...

| I don't remember how old I was, but I was on the Double Loop with my friend and the ride got stuck upside down! The ride was not but a couple years old!the funny part was when we were upside down watching things falling out of people's pockets! The best part is there was a man in front of us who at first was holdong onto his head. We did not understand why until he moved them and his hair piece went sailing to the ground!! There was one other pretty cool thing that happened on the double loop. I was on with my dad and when we went upside down his sunglasses fell out, but my dad and I got to the bottom, he held his hand out and caught the sunglasses! |

Ah, I do have a few others....guess its all coming back now....lol
I was riding Thunderhawk (or at the time known as Serial Thriller) and I had just got glasses and I didn't know that some of thse coasters were going to be so tough on things like that. I was also wearing a velcro watch (that will come into play) Well started up the lift and when we were decending going through the barrel rolls I was clutching my glasses because they had almost fallen off but I caught them somehow and then I tried using my other hand because I felt my velcro watch coming off, but something quick happened on the ride (mind you I wasn't watching where the track was going because I was trying to keep my glasses with me and try to put them back on my face and keep them close to me). Well when I was focusing more on my glasses all I heard was RRRRIIIIPPP and then we hit the breakstation and I just knew I had lost my watch and well probally to this day it is lost to the Koi and mutant fish of Geauga Lake. (At least there is a part of me still at the Lake, literally, lol.) _________________ Geauga Lake I will miss you! |

Honestly, what's the point of lying on a message board about something like this? It never happened. We aren't stupid. |

Well it can happen but there is a 90% chance rate that that kind of thing would never happen. Its called gravity and physics. Also noted... the coaster hits the lift hill then gains enough speed to make the second hill, which means it would have to complete the loops because the second hill is smaller then the lift and it is designed to never fail. Its almost impossible for that to happen. I've rode the Double loop for years and my longest streak in a row was 32 times! Never once during any 32 rides did it get stuck upside down. _________________ Geauga Lake I will miss you! |

Because of gravity and simple physics, even if there was not enough momentum to complete one of the loops, it would simply roll back and come to a stop in one of the valleys. I repeat again, Double Loop NEVER got stuck upside down. In fact, it never valleyed with passengers. And if it did, it was well before dsloban was on it.
Now, if this was a Six Flags Great America forum, I would have a bit of faith in your post |

Also this was a pretty smart and well designed Arrow coaster too, you can't blame anything on the trains if anything malfunctions on the trains they get stopped on the lift hill and never make it over the hill. So you never got stuck upside down. Thats like saying you got stuck upside down on dominators loop, its simply impossible. _________________ Geauga Lake I will miss you! |

| I am not being a lying person! I was very young when this happened! All I know that we did get stuck on the ride and yes the man's hair fell off! If I got the location wrong then sue me because I asked my dad and that is what he told me. He also said this happened when I was 7 when the ride in its first season so maybe it isn't clear! For all I know it may have happened on another part of the ride and over the year that is what people have told me because I only remember he man's hair falling off and being on the news! |
