Oh and how about you telling me you knew about the closing of GL back in May? Kind of funny you didn't tell your friends to make their last visit. Or was that just another one of your lies??

actually coaster dad made alot of posts telling people to enjoy there trips and make sure to get on all the rides cuz the removal of x flight was just the begining.

but you wouldnt know thatcuz you wernt trolling here then, had no reason to did you with the park being open and all still.

A lot of final trips to Geauga Lake and good memories were made last summer because of Coasterdad's warnings.  This is from the oldest thread in the Rumors section, posted shortly after these forums opened:

I know this has been talked to death in other forums but just this past week I had several non enthusiast types tell me they heard GL is going to close - at least the rides side. I find it interesting that several people who don't know each other each tell me the same story when from the looks o things GL is having its best season ever. This might be why it would have been a good idea to actually tell the public before they took out two rides why they had to remove them.

Where could this rumor have started and why?

This was not the last time he warned us, there were many other warnings.  In response to a post in early September by Shaggszgn about a rumor that the entire ride side was being closed:

Smaller footprint, less competing rides, lower overhead, land value that has skyrocketed - its all making sense now isn't it?

I also suggest you get out there in the last three days of operation this season. It could be the last time you see the park the way we all know and love it. make tons of noise this weekend, let your voices be hard. Do everything and anything legally in your power to make them aware that we don't like whats going on.

Obviously he had very good sources of closure. I know I got my visit in, what  regret on the other hand was not getting enough pictures. All the warnings were there even from the company itself...Nobody put some of the pieces together.
