I don't think Ray has ever picked at CF without explaining himself - although he really doesn't need to. As far as the budget thats funny. My guess is that its very little and next to nothing.
Just because you still work for a losing organization doesn't mean you have to stick up for them all the time. But hey, you will soon find out the hard way.

I am working there since many my close friends are returning and its the last summer before I finish school. Its still a great job to put on a resume. I also know that this park will not be my future, I have another interview in two weeks for an internship that if I get I would be at from June-Jan.

^ Sorry Peter I don't mean to demean people that work there, its just I am sure you can find a better place to be employed than to work for those scumbags. I understand that working with your friends makes it better, but at what price? I would be sick knowing that I was making money for those lunatics that try to run that place.

those "scumbags" are my friends
and working at any form of amusement park/water park is worth it due to my hopes to work full time in management at Disney after graduation
(thats what the internship is for)

You know Ray, you are absolutely right, you think the Brochure Sucks.
Is there really anything more that needs to be said?
Well anyway, this site continues to give me a good laugh every now and then. I look forward to the next debacle over what Cedar Fair has done wrong, and seeing everyone tell each other they are also wrong. |

Honestly, I sometimes think some people on this board get carried away with their hatred for Cedar Fair. I definitely do not agree with the general attitude toward the management.
However, in this case it was a matter of someone saying that they disliked the brochure, reasons why they didn't like it, and (in another thread) what they would do about it.
IMO, that isn't something to be lumped in with some of the more far-fetched opinions...it is exactly how discussions should go.

Um...Coaster 3:16. I along with others I'm sure don't just get on here for our hatred of Cedar Fair. Sure we do HATE the company. You can't expect people to like a company that lied, didn't help your park, over the years took out your rides, and last but not least closed your park for good and started removing all the rides "worth promoting in other parks". We aren't just going to sit here and think (in sarcastic tone "Oh yea that was a great move for cedar fair and omg we so support them!" <-If you believe any of us that liked geagua lake (if you think we said something similar to the sentence above") then your about as much a crock of sh*t as cedar fair itself. Cedar Fair makes decision and then their customer base makes its decision. If you piss off your customers you can't expect them to be nice about the company.
As for the rest of this thread its gotten off topic and I noticed a lot of you were bringing some drama to the thread. It was something simple, like the brochure or not and if you did or didn't all you had to say was why.
As for Cedar fair and their sh*tty brochure, I'm sure they really didn't give them a huge budget but they could of made a much better brochure with free software that wouldn't of cost them that much more if not anything. Its lack of interest in this water park that might be the downfall.

I agree 100% with what you say here. Some of the complaints against Ray seemed to lump him in with some of the more extreme disdain for Cedar Fair found on this site and I don't think what Ray say was that way at all. He presented an opinion...backed in up with points...and even went a step further with a solution to fix what he thought was wrong. It was an excellent post(s).
I'm sorry if I poorly wrote my first paragraph above. I do not blame anyone for being mad at Cedar Fair for what I agree was mismanagement of this property. I do not believe, however, that they did it because they are evil. I think they just got in over their heads and blew it (but that is taking this post off topic again).
